Man, I still remember when he was drafted and they do the standard "what would you say to the teams that passed on you" bullshit and he goes "I'd say 'thank you', I wanted to be an Oakland Raider." That's still the best damn answer I've ever heard.

Showing some class and professionalism.

Yes so retarded of me to note Carr has a marketable likeness and religious angle that makes his popularity transferable to a new team. Lmao thanks for getting so upset.
If that was your attention it was a very odd way to write it.

So are Carr and Adams a package deal? Hard to imagine a scenario where Adams wants to play there.

In McFuckfaces mind

Franchise QB: Tebow, Stidham

Not a Franchise QB Derek Carr

Carr deserved better. Raiders and their can fanbase deserve to have 70 years of shitty QB play like the Bears did.
Its definitely time to move on. It was just a brutal way to end it. That said, we can blame McCaniels for a lot of things and also for Carr being at an all time worst, but McCaniels isnt the one missing wide open easy throws. Carr’s accuracy in intermediate throws has always been his strongest point and all of a sudden he is hilariously off target to an open Adams more often than not.

Carr would play for the Raiders until he was crippled, but the desperation in his voice and on his face says that this was at least somewhat a mutual parting. Dude looks absolutely miserable and broken mentally.

For the record, I think the Raiders are making a terrible mistake.

You wanna get a shiny new QB prospect? Spend your draft capital and let him sit and learn the system for a year. If he develops, congrats on winning the lottery. If not, Carr is still one of the better QBs in the league.

Look around the league. More teams have worse than better.

If Carr was an elite QB he was the worst one(or the best non elite one). And yeah he wasn't likely to take this team anywhere but that's only a valid point if they have a replacement for him that will be that guy. Not Jarret fucking Stidham. What really killed this team was hiring the wrong people. First the NFL draft analyst whose draft picks either were busts or went to prison as GM(that was Grudens fault of course). Then the head coach who wanted to build around Tim Tebow.

Despite all this the team didn't suck and they were a few one possession games from being good. This was actually the best Raiders roster in 20 years lolz. They only got Adams because of the Carr connection otherwise they would have been rebuilding.

Raiders fans keep pretending Jim Plunkett is a HOF QB because he won 2 SB's then act like it's impossible to win with someone like Carr. Vikings built around Kirk Cousins(who IMO isn't as good as Carr team almost mutinied against him at one point and Diggs left) got the right people and they're winning. The whole "moral of the story" for this season is you can still win without the best QB's and the Raiders didn't get the memo.

As a Lions supporter who stood by Stafford the whole time this shit pains me. Wins aren't a QB stat. Should appreciate talents based on how well they play not things out of his control. Raiders won with Stabler and Gannon were they really more talented than Carr?

One thing we can agree on is that Carr looks broken. If he wanted to leave that makes sense. I don't believe that to be the case though. Raiders fans have been agitating about Carr not being good enough for like 5-6 years now. Hope they get the Bears experience.

Anyone else now getting the sense New England was only considering making Stidaham Bradys successor because of McDaniels and he was a McDaniels favorite?

Even if Adams was going to bail on Carr(possible) hes even less likely to stick around for the adventures of Jarret Stidham and/or the development of a draft pick. He's 30 trying to squeeze the most out of the back end of his prime and get to the HOF doesn't have a year or two to waste waiting for a draft pick to develop.

Adams made the Pro Bowl even if his stats weren't as good as the last 2 years he was an all pro. Adams numbers were better than the Packers 13-3 2019. Hes caught 12 TD's through 15 games. He and Carr clicked from a football perspective it just didn't result in wins.

Yes; noting that bad teams are the ones with open QB positions and a need to retain seat licenses makes little sense. I am sorry Mr. Goodell it won't happen again.

The silver & black lining is that they should be looking to get into that #2 spot leaving the Carter/Anderson sweepstakes to Seattle.

The 12's could very well be rolling into the draft with 2 top 10 picks.

I could be wrong but I'd be surprised if they went qb if those 2 are on the board, Ziegler will do his best to save mcdaniels and ziegler put together a good team on paper. They'll probably build elsewhere and qb will be figured out in FA or in a trade.

That is my ideal scenario tbh. Unless they get in position for JaBryce.

Lmr
Bryce
Brady for a year or 2
Minshew
Levis
Richardson

In that order
I’ll give you mac Jones for 17 new footballs, 5 new hand warmers, a 2027 7th round pick and Erin Andrew’s cell number
