The defense is strong enough to compete still. Just no QB and that’s the hardest position to find.

It's not. Did people not see how they finished the last 4 games of the season? Yes today wasn't that bad (the 2nd half at least) but their performances against the Eagles, Ravens, and KC were fucking abysmal. I believe they all had 400+ yards. I mean they allowed a 10+ minute drive against Philly to close out the game. It's the highest paid defense in the league and doesn't play like it. You don't win in the NFL with that style of team.

Honestly they should have given Mixon the check. A competent run game negates the need for multiple star WR’s.

Brown was great for them. The run game was not the problem. The defense was, as well as their coach being an ill prepared moron who thinks they can coast into each season and play catch up. You mix that with a cheap owner who alienates good players and let's them walk, while seemingly always drafting offense over defense when they don't need it, and you end up with an offense this good watching the playoffs from home.

Pickens just running vert and perimeter routes while everything underneath going to Frier or Warren doesn't work. Van Jefferson has always been ass. Williams just isn't the same guy after all those injuries. Calvin Austin played like he was afraid of the ball tonight. They do need another receiver.

They needed another receiver the second they traded Diontae Johnson back in March but failed to replace him. This team just isn't close to competing and if you are not close to competing the literal worse thing you can be is a fringe playoff team picking in the bottom 3rd of the draft which is what they have been since 2019.

This franchised biggest setback was trading their 2020 1st for Minkah the year Ben blew his elbow out. They should have kept it and tanked that year for Ben's successor. They could have had one of Burrow, Herbert, Love, Hurts, etc but instead they draft fucking Kenny Pickett in 2022.
