can’t wait until my hometown throws a parade & other bullshit for Anthony Sherman once he gets his ring because it’s full of depressing middle class townies obsessed w/ high school football. there are literally at least seven different families w/ generations of hs football heroes that never left town because they’re still hanging onto those glory days.
knowing the athletic director & former hs coach, he’s definitely gonna take partial responsibility/pride for breeding Sherman into the player he is today, even though he has always been athletically gifted & driven since the pop warner days.
honestly happy for Sherm though. i figured he wasn’t gonna go anywhere post ncaa when he committed to UConn, but his work ethic is truly admirable. respekt.
