He’s claiming he’ll take a hometown discount but we’ll see how accurate that is when insane offers come rolling in. Chiefs are already strapped for cap and I won’t be surprised if they lose enough guys like Watkins in order to keep him.

I love Shelby but I don’t trust him enough to shell out huge money for him which he’s made clear he’s all about for this contract. Maybe he’ll keep this level of play going but his history doesn’t support it.

Well he did play with a rotating door of lineman and edge rushers this season and still killed it so there is some optimism. I hope he stays but only at a decent price.

No. But I do think that team can get better overall and lighten the requirements that he contributed. As much as I hate to say it, I dont think theyve reached their full potential.

They won’t have the luxury of having the best QB in the league on his rookie deal very soon. That’s going to change the dynamic of the team drastically.

Obviously they can draft well but there’s only so many ways you mitigate a $40M cap hit from one player.

It will take some high level management. Probably looking at a Wilson/Rodgers type of thing though where they will always be a top notch threat/contender. Mahomo can elevate everyones level of play.
