If he were taking risky chances throwing into double or triple coverage every other game; you could probably coach that out of him. But throwing pick sixes on 2nd and 1 by not throwing the ball at the defenders feet or just taking the sack is beyond egregious.

I'm not saying he is a lost cause, but I do think this is just who he is.
