For a rookie QB, you get drafted, you learn from the old man, then step up.

That's how it's done the majority of the time. Sanders and Son might've just mouthed themselves into the UFL.

Used to be like that. Almost every rookie QB that gets taken in the first round starts in their rookie year now. Only one that didn't last year was JJ and that's because he got hurt.

Because of the rookie cap, teams only have 3 years to decide if they have their guy or not before picking up their option.

There is zero excuse for Dillon Gabriel or Tyler Shough to be drafted before Shedeur. You don't even need to watch or know football, the eye test of them playing football show you enough.

He's not as athletic as Trey or Kaep. He's a pure pocket passer who takes a lot of sacks and teams will hold it against him. He helped turn around a dog shit school and didn't play for a stacked college like a lot of these other QBs. He's good. He may not make it in the NFL, but I dont think many of these guys will so whatever.

the biggest issue is most teams dont need a young QB atm, and those that do dont care because next years class is better. Do you really think the Jets think that Justin Fields is their long term solution?

Justin Fields has shown many instances of being a legit NFL QB though.

Shadeur has Travis Henry bailing him out time after time and his play vs ranked teams is just plain bad. NFL GMs aren't in the business of passing over potential starting QBs because of politics or optics. He hasn't been picked yet because his fundamentals are shit and would not hold up vs a backup NFL D.

Shedeur got the ball to his best player? That's the QB's fucking job. When he played against ranked teams did you notice they had 4 star recruits and transfers on defense and he had 2 star recruits or walk ons protecting him?

He isn't picked for multiple reasons, he's a subpar athlete, mediocre arm talent, good enough arm strength, takes too many sacks, but he's very accurate, throws with good anticipation, and gets the ball to his best players.

Did you know Cam Ward also threw the ball to his best players? Crazy concept. Did you also know that Cam Ward makes more boneheaded throws than Shedeur? He has worse footwork, but hes a better athlete and better arm talent. I can pick apart every QB.

Btw - A lot of the "wow" throws by Cam Ward will get picked off with ease in the NFL. NFL scouts and GM know that but you obviously don't.

If you asked me I think Cam Ward is the best overall talent in the draft, that doesn't mean he is without flaws or that I couldn't pick him apart in order to say he sucks. He does suck, hes the best overall talent in a low end QB draft. He's only the #1 because the NFL is so QB hungry a guy who would be a round 2 grade last year is the #1 overall pick.
