Not sure how I feel about this. I think I'm pumped, but I feel like the offense could have used some more help too.
You should be pumped. Thats a damn good deal imo. Jonnu Smith is a damn good TE. Their 2 TE sets with Metcalf burning down the field is tough to defend with Rodgers throwing it.

Worst case, Metcalf is fighting someone 40’yards down the field and Rodgers can spam it to Jonnu/Freiermuth. That just very quickly became one of the best TE rooms in the league.

So not only are the Bengals trying to get their 1st round pick to sign a contract with new language that voids all guarantees if anything happens that would be a single year violation, they also didn't offer him a league standard participation contract to guarantee for injury if he gets hurt during OTAs while not yet having a singed rookie deal. So that's why he's not practicing after showing up for the first day of practice then leaving.

NFL Insider Tom Pelissero appeared on the Rich Eisen Show and stated that Stewart opted not to sign the injury waiver because he didn’t feel it protected him as much as other agreements around the league.

“Generally, players will sign what’s known as a participation agreement that protects you if something were to happen, injury or otherwise, through the course of those practices here,” Pelissero said. “It would ensure that you’re taken care of financially.”

“Shemar Stewart didn’t want to sign the participation agreement that the Bengals had because of the way that theirs is worded,” said Pelissero. “Because every team has different language, it did not provide the same level of protection as other teams give their rookies.

I would love to see him sit out the year and enter the draft next year as the biggest fuck you to that franchise ever.

That is some low life dirt bag shit. I hope they are a disaster again and Burrow asks for a trade. They dont deserve the talents they have.

DK and Ramsey are throwing hands at camp. 0 doubt in my mind lmao. Those 2 get real scrappy every time they see one another
Rodgers finna get the boys together and have a peace sesh to get all the bad juju (no pun intended) out of the locker room

He's going to give them shrooms, a copy of Atlas Shrugged and school them on disinformation. That'll really fix things.
Atlas Shrugged is pretty good if you just ignore then autistic side of Ayn Rand. At the very least its entertaining. As a book its fine, the problem is using it like its a Dostoevsky work it falls flat.
