Replace Mike Tomlin with on of the other run of the mill shitters and those teams wont even win 6 games

None of those Steeler teams had anything close to a roster contending for a Superbowl. If you're a Steelers fan you're fucking delusional if you think that team has had a superbowl roster at any point in the last 15 years.
I mean they went to the Super Bowl in 2011, so what exactly happened to the roster in the immediate years after to make it a not Super Bowl capable roster? What about the years they had one of the best offenses in the league with Ben, Bell, and Brown? Please don't act like Tomlin has had mid 2000s Lions teams that he carried to winning records.

It's wild how people have this perception of Tomlin. He gets all the credit but everyone seems to ignore everything else. I mean fucking Belichick, the dude that shit on Tomlin pretty much every time they played, who has 6 SB wins as a HC 2 as a DC, somehow lost his job before Tomlin. If all head coaches were treated the same way Tomlin is, no one would ever get fired.

Because guys age out and consistent staples move on because they demand a higher price. Injuries occur. there was a while there where they had 2 of the best offensive weapons in football. They haven't had an offensive line worth a shit in at least 10 years. At least from my memory. Ben was also trash for like the last 5-7 years of his career.

They never had the best offense in the league.

Not the best, but one of. They were a top 10 offense every year in Ben's later prime seasons (2014-2018). In 2018 he had his best year yards wise with over 5k yards. The biggest problem they had was when the offense was at it's best, the defense was at it's worse. For a stretch they had a god awful secondary, which is odd considering Tomlin came from a defense back coaching background. The Shazier loss was also a massive hit which was right around the time the team had it's best shot of winning. I guess you are saying Tomlin needs an all pro roster with HOF players all over the place to have real playoff success.

It's not only the lack of recent success that is the problem with Tomlin, you can also add:
  • His coaching hires suck. He has virtually no coaching tree. Bruce Arians is the only coach that became a HC from under Tomlin and he was with the Steelers before Tomlin and was chased out of Pittsburgh. Do I even need to bring up Matt Canada?
  • His teams constantly play down to shit teams. Just this past season they dropped back to back games to 2 win teams, at home.
  • Terrible clock management, anyone that watches Steelers games knows this.
  • Terrible at coaching challenges.
Them bringing Tomlin back this year was whatever, he has had the built in QB excuse since Ben's elbow blew up in 2019. His seat should have been white hot going into this year with this season being the determining factor whether or not to bring him back. Him getting this extension now before even playing a pre-season game is a joke. No one can honestly say that results matter when it comes to him.

His OC hires have been mediocre. Matt Canada was well regarded before Pittsburgh, and did well as a QB coach. It doesn't help Canada obviously couldn't adapt his sytem to their abysmal offensive line. But if their offenses were so good, how could he have bad hires? It's one bad hire. Todd Haley lost the locker room which can happen over time. I wasn't the biggest Todd Haley guy myself, partially because the defense being bad padded the offensive numbers. That doesn't mean he wasn't competent.

There is no such thing as playing down to shit teams. Everyone in the NFL is talented. This is just you not understanding the talent in the NFL.

He's fine at clock management tbh.

The challenge thing is overblown. Zac Taylor, Bill Belichick, Dan Campbell, and Mike McDaniel are all worse.

If anyone here has youtube tv it would probably be a good idea to opt back in on the Sunday Ticket. Randomly logged into my account and saw that I'd save $100 by purchasing before June 15th. Paid $289 instead of the $389 and it had the option to do four monthly payments.

Bro, the buy in is like his entire annual budget in his country. If he spends it all, he won't have enough money to pay for the internet to be on the 'Dog and tell us how superior soccer is to football.
Soccer is superior to football.if football is chess game soccer is chess checkerss and every other board game combined

Gotta agree, even though players making one mistake on any play in football can be a catastrophe and players have to be the biggest, fastest, strongest athletes on God's green earth, all while understanding complex systems and adjustments on both sides of the ball so they don't get pantsed. Soccer is just on another level with kicking a ball out of bounds when you're getting beat.

Getting sent to a team where you're the best option with a young stud and GOAT level QB, who helps you have the best years of your career and they didn't do it with the best intent.
