It’s a better strategy.

And even right when this was leaked, I said I didn’t think it was a bad idea if Shanahan was letting his defense rest…but he wasn’t. He wanted the ball 3rd if both teams scored TDs. Lol

Would have been even worse for him if the Chiefs tied it and then went for 2 and won. I guess he could have fired himself then.

I can only analyze what was happening at the time. I can't analyze "potential" or fanfics on things that haven't.
