The card we just had had many fights to look forward to even if not the biggest names. Next week's card is a C level Bellator card

Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland main eventing lmaoooo. Decent fight but that's prelim headliner material at best

What's worse is the comain. Sam Alvey who hasn't won a fight since 2018 and is 0-5-1 since is the comain? Against overrated prospect Roman Kopylov

40yo Shamil returning against Daukas.

The only good matchups on this card are Hall Strickland, Kamaka Chavez and maybe Kang Rani if Rani isn't completely shot by now. Barberrna is usually in fun fights but he's fighting a can

Then we got a whole host of D level fighters and OFC some shitty WMMA in the mix <{cruzshake}>

Who was calling this week's one of the worst ever? Only idiots it was a good card on paper and turned out to be great
People/sherdoggers were trashing this card, especially because of the WMMA fights. In fact last weeks card was rated poorly and was great in actuality.

Stop rating cards beforehand and it won't be an issue. Just enjoy MMA.

We get it, you hate WMMA. <YeahOKJen>
Can add a few of the blokes fights if you need, a 10-7 Benoit versus a 3-3 Adashev who hasn't won a fight in 2 years, yeah edge of the seat stuff that fight. Tell you what we can settle it simply, are you intrigued by any of the these match ups? You're either lying, ignorant of the meaning of the word intriguing or trying to white knight which is just incredibly sad, which is it?

This depends on what you think makes a card good.

If you just think a really violent card is a good card then this week's card was great. In fact, if you just think a really violent card is good, I recommend watching LFA, the UFC's D-League. The prospects there are younger, know less defense, some lopsided matchups, people get slammed on their heads repeatedly, stand in the pocket with no head movement and knock the shit out of each other.

If you think a good card is a card that shows elite talent that could have divisional implications then yes, next week's card is terrible. This week's card is also not good, though not as bad as next week's. The main draw was Dillishaw vs Sandhagen, and that was a great headliner, but even with this week's win, Dillishaw is probably one win away from a title fight. The card drops off a lot after that. Pauvia lost his first 2 UFC fights, though he's won 3 in a row now, this fight was his first fight at 135 he's probably still one fight away from being ranked at bantamweight. Which would also make him 2 or 3, likely 3 more fights after that away from the title if he were to win every fight. Darren Elkins lost 4 fights in a prow prior to his last 2 fights. He would probably need 2 or more likely 3 more wins to be back in the rankings, at which point he'd again have to win a couple more fights to be in a title fight. Adrian Yanez could take Kyler Phillips' spot in the rankings, or he could need one more fight to make the rankings, either way he is also probably 4 fights from a title fight if all goes well. So on and so forth, all the remaining fighters are as far or further from a title shot. And also, the fighters on today's card are not generally considered the top prospects in their division. None of them would be expected to beat the top guys in their divisions, aside from potentially the headliner. Pauvia or Yanez would be heavy underdogs even against the loser of tonight's main even, Sandhagen, who is himself probably 2 fights from a title shot. So these fighters are both far from the top in their class and also not expected to get there, or at least to get there soon.

Therefore, it comes back to what you think makes a good card. If you think maximal violence makes a good card, tonight was a good card. If you think divisional implications is what makes a good card, next week's card is absolutely atrocious.
