I've always been a fan of Andrey Koreshkov and was supremely thrilled with his performance last night against Benson. A lot of people have come away from the event talking more about Benson's future with the promotion (It's to be expected, he was a major signing for the company), but I am more excited about what could be the future for Koreshkov. I really think that if Koreshkov continues to show improvement as a fighter he could be one heck of a threat at WW and could also be a fan favorite if promoted the right way. Even the he is not the knock machine like the guy I'm going to say he could become like in MMA, I think that Koreshkov could have the same type of following as him.

If pushed the right way I could see Koreshkov becoming something like a "GGG-light" in MMA. I might get hate for this but I think that Coker would actually be wise to match Koreshkov up with someone like Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos next. Cyborg is the type of guy how can stick around for a while and get beat up in a way that makes the opponent look good. Think of his fights with Diaz for example. GGG hasn't had the toughest opponents but people know he's violently pleasing to watch. What do you guys think both of the match and how Koreshkov could be packaged?

For his own pride he has to fight Askren again.

He will be hard to promote and market as a dominant champion when he has such an humiliating defeat on his record. That wasn't just a bad loss, it was maybe the most one sided championship fight we have seen in MMA.

Bellator should try to get Rory and make him Fight for the title In a tent pole event

He should have gained a couple of extra fans after the Benson fight. As for his next fight, should be MVP/Gonzalez winner

He might face Koshek-Daley winner (so Daley)

There is no reason to build him up because Bellator need ratings and recognition RIGHT NOW and Daley vs Koreshkov is both legit and a ratings booster

Koreshkov could be a big star for Bellator. He's only 25, has brutal strikes, vastly improved TDD and wrestling, and has that silent but deadly mystique.

I would love to see him fight Askren again because tbh i think he finishes Askren this time.

I don't watch enough TV to know, but does Bellator get any commercial time on other channels? It's hard to hype their product if they're only going to be on Spike.

To be honest, they need to put him on a co main of a tentpole. That is a good way to bring eyeballs to him. I know it's not popular, but it's probably the best plan they Got. It looks like bellator would actually trying keep Andrey, so why not give him a special? Like they did with bendo and kimbo? Build him up in the states.

Koreshkov also mentioned himself that he is getting a lot more recognition back at home after winning the belt; he also mentioned that he would love for bellator to venture into Russia.
Put minakov v lashley as the main. Koreshkov v daley(if he wins) as the co main. You can also have Sergei on that card vs a josh burns. Koreshkov could definitely win. Then after minakov and Sergei win. You could hype their fight. The promotion around their fight "puny Americans are no match for the Russians, so now, we must fight each other; the battle for madah russiah!!"

When is schlemenkos suspension up? Throw that sucker on a Russian card too

Give him Cyborg this summer and Daley if he wins or the winner of MVP Gonzalez in the fall

Askren vs Koreshkov, the Rizin Rematch
I'd love the rematch too; although i'm more excited for the Sapo fight at this point. Not sure it'd be in Bellators best interest to have him rematch though; they are better off playing it safe by saying that he was just young and learned a lot from the fight. If Askren ragdolls him in similar fashion at a Rizin show how do you go about selling the Bellator WW product moving forward?

He's not a star and he's not gonna be one. We all know enough about this sport to know just cause you beat a name doesnt make you one.

He's a good fighter good fighters are a dime a dozen in mma, how many are really stars though?

MVP is the guy in that div if he can win fights and beat guys like Koreshkov he could be a star for Bellator.

Say Gonzalez beats MVP and gets a title shot, is Koreshkov/Gonzalez doing big ratings?
