What does Jones/Pereira do? I'm just saying if it's not for a vacant title, then it basically ruins Alex's chance at a 3rd belt. Then for Jon, he's a HW wrestler fighting a former MW kickboxer. He already proved that with Gane. To me it's just a money chasing fight. Maybe it's like a fantasy matchup of LHW top dogs. Would've been better if Aspinall was out and Jones was champ.

It’s a “big money fight” despite the White House not having a paying crowd or PPV sales

Not even an interesting matchup imo.

If Pereira manages to win, it just means Jones is that washed. If Jones wins, he outgrappled another kickboxer who's 1-1 with Ankalaev, and had a debatable decision against 40 year old Jan.

I mean it's sort of weird to think about that now. Hope there's another metric to gauge. I'm guessing UFC gets more money in long run if Whitehouse card draws casuals. Hopefully that plus only have to have paramount makes the sport bigger. Then the number of viewers increases revenue from ads and tickets and people get paid more.

I'm just kind of tired of nonsense fights when there is appropriate big fights to make. Alex vs Aspinall is a huge fight, but probably doesn't get as many people watching than against Jones.
