I would start by saying, I think Usman Nurmagomedov might be a step too high for Paul. Now I ask, would Shane Burgos be an appropriate fight to stay busy, before the 2025 Lightweight tournament?

Depends what PFL wants. Think PFL would rather him in the tournament than in Bellator but he could maybe do both. I dont think he beats Usman but if he fights in Jan/Feb even if he loses maybe he could then fight again in late April in a tournament.

I think Burgos fight in the tournament would def make sense but then again I think like Dakota and Loughnane they'd favor him and give him easier fights to go deeper into tournament.

Nah, dude just beat a former Bellator GP champion and the de-facto #1 contender. You have to capitalize on that. They should absolutely do Hughes vs Nurmagomedov next.

Burgos, quite frankly, doesn’t deserve that fight. Do Burgos vs someone like Patricky or Piccolotti and go from there.

Usman might be a step too high but this is also the most hyped matchup in the whole organization. It would be incredibly foolish not to make it.

I imagine Usman-Hughes in Dublin, Abu Dhabi, or Boston would be massive for PFL.

Yeah, Hughes also called out Usman after winning. The only steps up from McKee that aren't Usman in the entire dual promotion are Shabliy and maybe Tofiq.
