Elections Newsom’s in-laws move to FL and donate to Desantis (FL/Desantis mega thread)

especially all the people from NY and CA moving there......

They want to keep america white. Black are 4x and latinos 2x as likely to get an abortion than white women . . . that was ALWAYS the goal for Planned Parenthood....they can try to distance themselves from eugenicist/racist Margaret Sanger all they want.....
WTF I love abortions now???

Yea that's somewhat where I'm going with it but different reasons. I think Trump had cultish support which made it too easy to deflect criticism and dismiss the bad. This was obviously amplified as time went on, to the point where people would argue Jan 6th was perfectly fine. I don't think that's a good thing at all, because it doesn't hold any accountability for the politician and ends up becoming what we already complain about.

I'd rather see DeSantis grind his way up and earn the top prize rather than some glorification push where his actual policy work is secondary. If we go down the Trump direction I see much more polarization and lack of accountability in the future than anything worth our time coming from it.

When you consider how politicians rise to the forefront, and actually can become effective leaders, I think you’re making kind of a weird take here. And I’ll add that there’s no evidence that DeSantis will rest on his laurels. Anything can change, but he doesn’t seem like the type.

Haha, no worries brother, enjoy. Just know that I am going to eventually get you to believe there is a global conspiracy for a new world order which approves of :eek::eek::eek:s.

Just look at the collusion between main stream media, disney, nickelodean, even the Biden admin and the DOJ on this one trans issue alone yesterday, that is a coordinated attack, including on governor Desantis, who has been at the forefront of this battle. I am actually kind of surprised Glen Youngkin hasnt come to his defense. Dude is scared to get caught up in this. But Desantis was leading the way even before the big red wave shift in VA last year.

Meanwhile a scrub like Kristi Noem originally vetoed similar legislation cause she scared of ESPN. Ducey of AZ waited a year after Desantis to only now sign legislation cause he needed to test the waters like a coward.

All the forces on the left are pushing harder than ever to achieve their goal of wanting a bunch of asexual people, who will regurgitate any hashtage the media wants to push, willing to eat plant or insect based food, who have no desire to reproduce, but still work at their starbucks and amazon warehouses and related factories to serve the elite. Meanwhile their mass machinery indiscriminately grinds up plant, insect, and fertilizer material to digest. And we will submit to any medical mandates they decree.

Just food for thought :)
I really don’t understand this take at all. Why is this a partisan issue to you?:eek::eek::eek:philes are often people who are in positions of power. There are tons of Republican :eek::eek::eek:philes and one of them even raises a ton of campaign money. You actually believe it’s only the left that is capable of being disgusting? Seems like a naive view to have.

Is it still gaslighting if a moron believes the bullshit they’re saying?

this was posted by Desantis’s press secretary. Not from the textbooks they just banned in FL, but an example of how CRT or inappropriate stuff is slipped in. I am sure Desantis is going to have a press conference to show the examples from the textbooks he banned.

Not only is the subject within the questions inappropriate, but people wouldn’t need to do the math problem and learn algebra if they know the fill in the blank lol.

I love how the left wing media rages about this, yet says nothing when demorats do the exact same shit. Like how does Maryland have a republican governor, but he allows their legislature redistricting that ends up with 7-1 democratic favor... yet they have a republican governor? His fat, RINO ass just says "they are perfect, but we need free elections", the fact there is a republican governor with a 7-1 districting to democrats shows they game is fixed against republicans. Otherwise it would be 4-4 districts at least, if more than half the voters are voting republican for governor. Yet Densatis is evil, blah blah blah.

Look at NY and CA districting, complete sham. Democrats play for keeps, republicans need to stop being bitches and step if like Desantis. Larry Hogan, in Maryland, is an absolute disgrace

Skynyrd uses the rebel flag though.

Song's garbage like all these stars from the golden age of rock trying to be cool again, but DeSantis will destroy any democrat for two terms.

The election fraud guy got duped again.
The immortal philosopher, Frank Reynolds said in America you are either the Duper or the Dupee.
Hey, Dupee this is where your Spyder Twitter poster got it from.

Its from some dudes web site, no part of any curriculum.
I am not suprised this thing is making its rounds again. Got to keep the Rubes motivated, even if its recycled material.
Pro tip, This guy is not a COVID DR either.

God tier degoatness is gonna cause the democrats and media to implode if he becomes president.

I saw yesterday some members of the legislature hinted at this, but it seems Desantis officially has mentioned it too, as retaliation for Disney saying they are going to back groups working to legally challenge some of Desantis bills.

I find it very interesting because Orange county is very blue for residents and people voting. But there is also a lot of republicans who own property there that they Air BnB. But basically Disney has land in a few counties, mostly Orange county, that makes up a district that basically governs itself, build what it wants, etc.

I think Disney kind of put itself in a bind because they aren't going to leave FL, they have too much stuff/infrastructure here. So it isn't like Desantis fighting them in this way is going to reduce tourism, IMO. Disney isn't going to purposefully drive away their customers. If anything, this would lead to the state and the counties getting more money through permits and other regulatory means. So the republicans with the Air BnBs and such who rent them out won't be upset... meanwhile the same people who protest Desantis will still come, because Disney will still promote whatever and attract those people.

I think it is a great move, Win-Win, and won't piss off republicans. Either get Disney to STFU or get more local and state money and let them pay for it since they have so much profit.

Very interesting, would be a massive monetary stand off. For Disney to up and leave would create a huge revenue fall out, but they would most certainly survive it (especially if it is a prolonged withdrawal). I think this would be detrimental to FLs tourist income, you are losing the most iconic place in FL. The jobs, taxes, revenue etc would all be gone

I do not think they would be able to up and leave FL tho. They have so much infrastructure built into the park(s) that it would be almost impossible to leave. They would have to build an entire new park with all the hotels, rides, scenery, etc. Like they can't just take the Avatar mountain what houses the ride Flight of Passage, or like the entire Starwars world they build, Epcot and all the buildings within, etc, and there is endless amounts of this type of stuff at the park that they wouldn't be able to take with them. Plus, Disney already started doing work for their new campus in FL, which they already put in a lot of prep work for.

It would take several years, at least, to build a new park that is even remotely comparable. Would also be very expensive to do so. Not to mention Disney cruise line which has their hub there too. They would have to build an entire new port operation wherever they would move to.

That is why I think Disney put themselves in a bind here, much more so than Desantis. But yes, I do find it very interesting too lol. Disney thought they had so much clout Desantis would have to kowtow to their CEO, but that backfired.

Yes I think the withdraw would be a process over time, a complete guesstimate would be 10 years. I’m sure they are contracted as well, so up and leaving is not an option.

I definitely think it’s possible though, especially if another city/state offers incentives to offset the costs. Much like when stadiums are built, another state can see the potential in revenue and help with the transition over.

I believe Disney completely has the upper hand, as they are not solely reliant on the FL income. They have so many sources of income that they will not be crippled by the loss. However FL losing what I am assuming is it’s single biggest tourist draw is massive in the long run

I don't see it because Desantis will likely win this year, but then won't be able to run again (can only serve two consecutive terms). So I don't see them running away from Desantis when the move would take quite a bit longer than he will even be governor. They probably sit on their hands and hope person who comes in after Desantis is more friendly to their agenda/wokeness.

Before this stuff about the "dont say gay bill", Desantis was actually being very friendly to them and they got big tax breaks through the tax credit program Desantis put in place.

Plus, again in regard to the cruise line, they would need a state on the East or Gulf Coast as they have a private island in the Bahamas. Plus the park needs to be in a warm climate. They won't go to a state where it snows because that would lead to park closures and would suck for cruises and take too long to get to the Bahamas. That doesn't leave that many options, and a number of those states are red and pushing similar bills.

It’s complicated indeed, very interested to see how it plays out. I think Disney is about to take a serious stand in this, and DeSantis clearly gives a fuck, I say let the games begin!

Not convinced it will be as big as advertised. Disney clearly cares about the $$$, or they wouldn't edit out and remove the progress values that they want to share in movies distributed to China. It's not just the parks in general like Cottage was saying, but also FL itself is a premium vacation destination, making Orlando a stop on the vacation trail for many.

To pack all that up, all the hotel deals, the most ideal cruise line location in the country for Disney Cruise to use, etc, at massively high expenses but no real time gain, and most likely lesser amounts of visitors overall, pretty much guarantees that they aren't going anywhere.
