New way for Fighters to Make More Money?

I have a novel idea: what if sponsors paid fighters to wear their gear or logo to the ring? Fighters could get decent sponsorship money if they did that.

LOL right? Let's not fix any fighter pay/compensation issues and instead pass the bill to the charity of the fans, i.e., social media. That will also INSURE that only the best, most skilled fighters fight one another, and couldn't possibly derail and incentivize the sport into popularity/circus fights. SMH

Social (media) tipping...... would be cool if fighters had a way to collect tips like youtube superchats on live streams and broadcast in the arena and/or stream.

You can do this on some PPVs (can't recall offhand) but you can tip fighters and or select reasons (fights) why you purchased the PPV and said fighters get a bigger cut.

this is supplemental income, just like youtube live streams (you get paid during the stream, and afterwards as well), and if the fight is hot, people will tip more than a boring fight.... at least in theory.

After shelling out the PPV cash to watch fights, I don't feel inclined to tip and am probably not alone in feeling that way. Increasing revenue sharing like @Sweater of AV suggested is best option IMO.

I just stream ppvs and i wouldnt mind a way of supporting fighters directly

There's good and bad with this. The good is that it would likely encourage fighters to be more exciting and fan friendly to get more tips instead of doing the minimum to get a W. The bad is that the exciting and popular fighters who would be getting the most tips are already the ones who get paid the most. The undercard no names who don't make much wouldn't really get much in tips either.

And let's be honest, the people screaming about "fighter pay, maaan" aren't going to spend their own money anyway. It's mostly kids who don't have any money complaining that they can't spend other people's money.

You might be thinking of BKFC having checks bounce. I haven't heard of UFC not paying fighters at least they're contracted amount, often more.

Should be able to tip between rounds to influence fight outcome. Like people can all tip for the fighter to KO the other guy, where the payout only happens if the KO happens
