New Horror Film "The Woods" Being Called One Of The Scariet Movies Ever

Adam Wingard's (You're Next, The Guest, VHS) newest film "The Woods" has been receiving a lot hype lately and is being hailed as one of the scariest movies ever by Bloody-Disgusting.com's Brad Miska. There isn't much info about the movie aside from a very vague teaser and even more vague plot line.


Plot: “involves a group of college students on a camping trip who discover they are not alone.”

I swear most horror films that come out now seem to be praised as being "one of the scariest movies ever" but end up being dog shit with a few jump scares. That being said this film doesn't look bad at all.

Yeah I doubt it will be scary tbh, but I have enjoyed all of Wingards films so far so im super stoked for this.

I've honestly only seen the first V/H/S, so I'm not too familiar with his work, but I liked it and it was quite refreshing from seeing all these Paranormal Activity films and such.

I personally tend to watch a lot of stuff on the internet now like Alan Resnick's stuff (Unedited Footage of a Bear, Alantutorial, etc.) I'll definitely keep an eye out for this though.

I reccomend checking out You're Next, its a twist on the Home Invasion sub genre of horror and is actually pretty funny. Just don't take it too seriously.

I liked It Follows, had some very eerie parts, but it just had too many unnecessary scenes. Was definitely a bit overhyped, but not a bad movie imo.

I've found that if I go into a horror movie with an open mind, I have a good chance of being scared, if I want to be an asshole and just laugh at every scene and call out how unrealistic and stupid most of the shit in Horror movies is/are, that I will not find it scary at all.
