Yeah, he still doesn't seem to be able to grasp the concept of muzzle rise and how it affects firing on full auto. The almost completely uncontrollable nature of firing full auto was the reason for the switch from full auto to burst fire on service rifles.

What about submachine guns or PDWs with muzzle breaks and/or foregrips?

A submachine gun that fires a relatively small handgun round, like an MP5 is very controllable on full auto. The problem is they cost tens of thousands of dollars and 9mm isn't really well known for it's stopping power and is basically worthless against body armor or hard cover.

Muzzle brakes and fore grips only help a little.

The KRISS Vector you posted could probably make a great mass murder tool provided you could get your hands on one (there's no way for a civilian to legally own one) and had an unlimited supply of ammo for it. The big issue with full auto is that most of the rounds you fire probably aren't going to hit your target and you go through ammo EXTREMELY quickly.

I don't think full auto is a good choice for a mass murderer mainly because you'd use up all the ammo you could possibly carry within a minute or two of sustained fire, and the vast majority of your rounds would likely miss your target(s).

1) Fun
2) Establishing a base of fire

(#2 for those that do not know, is to suppress an enemy so they cannot move from their position to allow another element to maneuver on them)

I'm not sure. They usually have the heavier SOCOM barrel profile (thicker under the handguards or rail system).

The stupid barrel profile is due to M203.

A1's basically have a bunch of improved parts for longevity.

The reason for burst was big army didn't want to put the time in to train dudes on auto fire with carbines. The distribution of A1's will be more limited then M4's.

Hopefully the sheriffs told him to act right if he is going to open carry in public. Those that open carry take on the responsibility of conducting themselves in a stable manner while in public.

The cops said he didn't do anything illegal. He didn't threaten anyone. He just went around telling people he had a gun and asking if they wanted to see it. If you want carry anywhere policy then this just comes with the territory.

I don't have a problem with constitutional carry. I have a problem with idiots showing their guns off when its unnecessary. Brandishing a firearm is still a crime. If he didn't touch it, then whatever. Guy was just being a douche.

You can see the news report from WSBTV which is the local ABC affiliate in Atlanta. I seriously doubt they are in a conspiracy with daily kos to make gun owners look bad. They also played the 9/11 call of a male reporting the incident to police so you can't put it all on the mothers either.
