New gun laws in Georgia

If it's private property he can be trespased so he can never be on it again.

If he put his hand on the weapon while tAlking to anyone he can be charged with threatening.

The cop could have said his actions were erratic and had him committed and taken all of his weapons.

If the guy was doing what he said he's a shit head and set himself up to being shot by someone who believes the guy was a danger, all it will take is him to put his hand on his weapon and say the wrong thing and the shooting would be justified.

hi all,

it appears that Catholics and Episcopalians place God before the 2nd Amendment.

a chilling development!

Robert Wright, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, sent an open letter last week to the 56,000 members that make up the dozens of Episcopal churches throughout north Georgia with a simple message: Don’t bring guns into the house of God.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta issued similar guidelines last week for its parishes, which encompass 69 counties throughout Georgia. “The last thing we need is more firearms in public places, especially in those places frequented by the children and the vulnerable,” Archbishop Wilton Gregory wrote in the May 1 issue of the Georgia Bulletin.

what about the counterargument that places where children gather is where we need guns the most, so they can protected?

Here is an example of a shooting in a bar in PA from LAST NIGHT:

No where in the story does it say whether the gun was legal or not.

Its based on common sense that alcohol and firearms don't mix. Its just a different perspective. You're trusting of legal gun carriers and believe they are all the most upstanding citizens who would never succumb to petty human emotions like anger. Its like during the Dunn trial, some people just couldn't believe that he would shoot at the car simply because he was angry despite there being more evidence of that than his bullshit "thought I saw a gun" excuse. Those people simply cannot be convinced that some legal gun owners may sometimes act irresponsibly with their weapons.

Actually I think everyone knows that even legal gun owners can go full retard, most of us just believe in innocent till proven guilty.

Until a guy does something wrong, he should be able to exercise every single bit of his 2A rights. Period.

I will admit Im a little towards extreme on this as I dont trust the government. I dont even want 2A rights restricted over mental health reasons until a guy commits a crime because I dont want some army psychologist like Nadal Hassan (1st Fort Hood shooter) or some liberal beaurocrat puke deciding who is stable enough to own a weapon.

The government has PLENTY of guns, BLM, FDA, EPA, FBI, ATF, ICE and every other governmetn agency is loaded to the teeth with full body armor and billions of rounds of ammo. Let the people have some too.

So if you're a licensed gun owner and you see another open carry owner are you allowed to shoot them?

Where at?

Breaking into your home? Yes

On the street? If he is presenting a viable threat, Yes.

hi Bargey,

if you feel threatened by their actions, i think you can (of course, you'll have to articulate this threat in court later, probably).

it all depends on whether or not you feel you are in danger.

Uh, no. Does that really need to be explained to you?

Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Why would you feel threatened because a guy has a holstered weapon? (in an open carry state)
