My new favorite is getting a weight belt with a chain, attatching some weight, and then using one of these:

You can hold on a lot easier than just being in hte pull up position. It's important to stop tensing your musles and relax to elong the spine.

Foam roller is also good for the spine.

Any other spinal decompression techniques?

I used my dip bars to hang from when I messed up my back a few months ago. I didn't find it that much easier than dangling from a pull up bar for ~30 seconds at a time, but it uses different muscles so you can switch to it when your grip gets fatigued.

One thing that I do find very important for spinal decompression is that my legs are allowed to hang free, which I can't do off my chin bar but can with this position. If you don't have to raise your feet up you can fully relax your hamstrings, hips and abs, which makes the stretch much more effective and elicits plenty of satisfying vertebral popping.

i can do pretty much everything by my self
i do most of the stuff on the chair or on the bed
it's just a matter of tension, you must learn which muscles should relax and which ones should do the work
i always cracked my fingers, then my neck and so on... and now i learned do to that on almost every joint in my body
it's awesome :D

Cracking your back =/ spinal decompression if that is what you mean.

I can easily crack my back, but spinal decompression is quite hard for me (painful as fuck a long time after)
