From the article

According to The Times, demand for unfiltered water is skyrocketing, as tech-industry insiders develop a taste for water that hasn't been treated to prevent the spread of bacteria or other contaminants.

In San Francisco, "unfiltered, untreated, un-sterilized spring water" is selling for as much as $60.99 for a 2.5 gallon jug. Startups dedicated to untreated water are popping up. People — including startup Juicero's cofounder Doug Evans — are gathering gallons of untreated water from natural springs to bring to Burning Man.

These idiots are buying bottled unfiltered water from trendy stores in Silicon Valley. Shit is disgusting. I think I'll start selling the delicious waters of the new river in Calexico California.

Yum. Just look at that yummy foamy unfiltered water. It already has detergents from all those plants in Mexico, so maybe it's clean already.

they want some of this

filtering kinda ruins it

Stupid idea. Now free range water, thats where the money is.

It’s bad enough they wear wool beanies in the summer, but this is plain retarded...

Fucking seriously?

I consider myself an avid hiker, and I would purify water from even the most pristine water source with purification tablet or filter. You don't drink any untreated water, regardless of how "clean" it looks. It doesn't matter if the water is straight from a waterfall at the bottom of a glacier, it could be contaminated with all sorts of animal feces and bacteria.

To make this even more retarded, the dumbasses are buying water off this lizard looking motherfucker:

Maybe they're looking to increase the variety of good gut bacteria?

A diet of yogurt, whole grain and vegetables will give you all the gut bacteria you need without giving yourself diarrhea.

I remember some years back people were drinking from a natural spring in a mountain where I live and a few people died due to some brain eating bacteria in the water.
Same thing could happen here.

Who ever came up with, and successfully marketed charging $24 a gallon for ground/pond/barrel water is certifiable genious. The Yoda of con artists. Lol
