Never Used My Groupon

Anyone here have a groupon that expired?

Groupon says I can still use the money I spent on it toward the business. But it doesn't really explain how. Do I just go to the business with my expired groupon and say, "I want to use this?" I feel like they'll just say, "Nope. It expired."

Anyone have experience with this?

Careful - if they're out of date, they might break off when in use. That can be awkward. TS might be facing this problem.
