it's one of my personal favorite martial art movies, and i think it's best mma movie ever (warrior is close though)

a lot of complain about the movie comes from the fact that the movie is like Karate kid for MMA, but i actually like that part.

fight scene is really solid ( got mtv movie award for best fight scenes), the cast performance is strong and the targeted audience ( young mma or action movie fans) will most likely love this movies.

Should have been presented at Cannes in my opinion.

It was good. But I think Here Comes the Boom takes the cake. Sure it's a B level comedy but it was damn good.

They got the MMA right. It didn't look overly choreographed. Everything was gritty and sloppy just like a real fight. You can tell Kevin was doing real drills and becoming a real fighter through the film and not just doing pretty nonsense.

I like Never back down but that's where it falls short. The fights were too clean, and pretty with flashy moves. It didn't capture MMA in the same way as a comedy.

When I watched HCTB in theater I was actually damn near standing up shadowboxing. Even the scene with them slipping in a wet outdoor cage reminded me of real event I was at. It was so real at times I forgot it was a comedy.

When that kid says “Vale Toe-doe!” I think it might have been one of the best line deliveries in modern cinema.

Warrior was better.

it's pretty close, but the action in Never Back Down i thinks is a bit better, therefore for me it is a bit better.

i really enjoy warrior though, one of the best action movies.

It's like if you combined High School Musical with the original Fast & the Furious movies. Still way better than that sack of shit Warrior.

I’m not sure if you’re serious, but that was one of the worst pieces of dog shit to ever grace the screen. TS definitely a Team Alpha Male fan.

Might as well introduce the other major contender to the thread:

That movie was terrible imo. Warrior was pretty good and Redbelt had its moments but to be honest I’ve yet to see a good MMA film.
