Israel being the jewish state does not mean that the non jew citizens have no rights. Arabs, christian, Muslim, Druze have equal rights in Israel. They can and do vote. They get elected to parliament (where some of them publicly call for the destruction of Israel in the name of freedom of speech).

There is nothing wrong with Israel being a Jewish state just like there is nothing wrong with Muslim states being muslim.

To ignore the establishment of Israel as part of the aftermath of WWII is stupid. The jews needed a place to go where they can be safe. But you obviously wanted them all to go back to Poland or where ever the flak you wanted them to go.

i think my point is really valid, if we adopted the immigration policies of israel and declared ourselves a christian nation both zoti and jukai would be outraged (i'd agree with them too). so then why would they support it for israel? why should i? i think jukai is literally trying to make the case that if i don't support a "jewish" state in israel, as opposed to a state for all israelis, it means i hate jews. i don't, i simply have core beliefs as an american about equality for all citizens.

It's not 50/50, the situation isn't black and white nor is it static. The blame shifts more as one side or another makes a move and as others take power. Right now, I place blame on the stalls on peace almost entirely on Israel. However, at the time Nicky is talking about, the blame falls almost entirely on the Palestinians. Clinton actually says the same thing in the link that Nicky indirectly quotes from but refuses to read.
