(Reuters) - Israel beefed up its tank and artillery deployment on the Golan Heights frontier with Syria on Sunday, cautioning Damascus' forces to keep a distance as they sweep rebel-held areas over the border.

Backed by Russia, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad launched an offensive last month to regain the southwestern Deraa region, driving thousands of refugees toward neighboring Jordan and Israel.

Israel's military deployed tank and artillery reinforcements to the Golan on Sunday, a statement said, "in light of developments on the Syrian Golan Heights.

Let me paraphrase this for everyone.

Netanyahu -

"I will warn Assad and his regime to stay away from the Golan Heights. I will also remain quiet like a little bitch, as big daddy Putin does whatever the fuck he wants."

The hypocrisy never ends and neither the left, nor the right have a clue.

Uh, that doesn't look weak to me. Are they supposed to be trundling over the border or something?

Did you notice that Netanyahu was unwilling to call out Russia in any way?

It isn't just Assad that is operating near the Golan right now. The Russian military is operating on the Isreali border, and Netanyahu didn't say a word about it.

Sounds like half-stepping to me.

What are they supposed to do in order to not look weak? I don't understand.

I just find it funny that Netanyahu will bomb Iranian positions in Syria, but Netanyahu isn't even willing to say a word about the Russian military operating on their border.

I mean, I'm not saying that Netanyahu should start launching airstrikes on Russia to show how tough he is, but he certainly doesn't look very alpha, remaining quiet, and avoiding eye contact with Putin, as the Russian bear roars on it's border.

I think it's a complicated situation with conflicting things going on, and their decision to remain on their border there is pretty reasonable, right?

Have you not noticed the connections and the similarities between the men who control the White House and those who control the Dom pravitelstva Rossiiskoi Federatsii?

They are quite friendly with one another if not quietly allied, great at playing murica for fools and both getting what they want while not fucking over one another.

Not sure what Net would get out of pissing on Putin.

I'm talking politics here, not strategic military matters.

I guess they are related, and it is silly for me to try and separate them, as the reason I'm laughing at the politics here, is because in the world of hard power/strategic military matters, Russia is a heavyweight, and Israel is a flyweight fighter. Yeah, mighty mouse maybe skilled, but Fedor laughs at the idea of even sparring.

Lol. It's like saying the hatfield and McCoy's are good freinds because they made nice in the media.

Unless Israel can figure out how to offer the strategic value that Iran has to Russia, that BS is smoke and mirrors.

Isreal wants to destroy Iran.

Russia would go to war to prevent this.

Russia put military bases in Syria. They dared the Israelis/Americans/gulf Arabs to start WWIII in Syria, and the unholy alliance balked, and waffled.

If you think for one second that Russia wouldn't do more to protect Iran then they did Syria, you live in a fantasy land.

You be an idiot if you think they would do anything at all to defend Iran. Stop thinking of this in a simple ideals, be pragmatic.

They would love Israel to do something, so they can sale Iran a few billion worth of weaponry.

So you are saying Russia would put bases in Syria, but they wouldn't Iran, if Iran was under threat of colllapse?

That is fucking stupid.

The most retarded part of this from the US's point of view, is that by trying to collapse Syria, we made them a voluntary colony of Russia, just as we will do with Iran when the unholy alliance finally makes it's move on Iran.

Actually Russia already had a base in Syria, it has none in Iran nor will they. They entered Syria to protect their assets, it cost them billions to get that. Prior to the civil war Syria was already Russian owned, the war just took it a few steps further.

You are deluded if you think Iran would let Russia own them like Syria has.

They will if their choice is being overthrown by the unholy alliance, or submitting to Russia.

Russia has far more economic interests in Iran, then they ever have, even now, in Syria.

Iran has been one of Russia's largest trading partners since the days of the USSR. They also offer friendly naval ports in the straight of Hormuz. I bet Iran buys more arms from Russia then any other country. I would be interested in someone naming a country that is a more important strategic ally to Russia then Iran is. Any country in the whole world that is more important to Russia, then Iran, and a rational for why.

You make no sense. Israel is keeping a relatively low profile. Everybody knows not to intrude on the Golan. Bibi is just politely reminding them.

No, he politely reminded Assad. Apparently Russia can operate in the Golan all they want.

If not, beep beep Netanyahu certainly wasn't willing to say so.

I'm more curious what Israel's calculus is in this. Trump is committed to letting Russia have their client state while being anti-chemical weapons attacks v. civilians, while Israel would prefer Assad deposed. So, what wins out here?

Hey, maybe the Muslim armies will wipe out the country of the Jews and you can rejoice!!!

I mean, fuck Hitler stuck millions of them in death camps. The land they inhabited for centuries was stolen by first the romans then the arabs. It is the one place jews can go to escape the antisemitism in Europe now.

But fuck, that is not good enough for you. You need the jews to be totally destroyred? AMIRITE? Will you be happy then?

I pity you.
