I'm so excited for this bout!
I think Nelson is the favourite but i'm rooting for Tumenov. The key is Nelson's wrestling advantage.
Tumenov has showed some good TDD though, but i think it will be need not enough.

Thoghts?

Tumenov

but I rather UFC build up both guys than having them eliminate a young contender. Both are very talented in their own respects. Nelson is crafty with a great BJJ base, Tumenov is just a beast on the feet.

IMO I think Gunni has reached his celing. Tumenov has def some major potential, we know he can strike, but can he handle world class grappling?

Tumenov via murder-killing

I'm hoping for this to happen, but if Nelson will control him on the ground will be hard to watch.
Tumenov striking display is so nice to watch

I've seen Gunnar as a +150 underdog in this fight. I will most likely be betting on Gunnar in this fight even though Tumenov's no slouch.

Gunni can knock him out or submit Tumenov. I'm looking forward to it.

Tumenov hasn't fought a grappler as good as Nelson, so this is a good test for him. But Nelson doesn't have great takedowns. If Tumenov wins, it's time for a top 10 WW.

That's what i actually wonder.
Gunnar got schooled from Maia on the mat, but in other fight he completely annihilated his opponent on the ground.. i just hope he will not be able to do the same with Tumenov.

Tumenov by KO. Nelson doesn't have a great chin or great wrestling, I see him getting finished on the feet.

His best win was against Zak Cummings, and I think if they fought again it might be different. He out grappled guys who's ground game was significantly weaker than his, so of course he looks good.

From what I have seen Tumenov seems to have good TDD

as he gets more comfortable at the highest level, I'm really interested in seeing him show his standup game even more. He's a nasty finisher. Really interested to see him against a top 10 if he beats Gunnar.

I've been a little disappointed with Gunnar lately.. his performances against Maia and Story were not great. Didn't seem to have a plan B if he couldn't get on top and control his opponent. That being said, I don't know that Tumenov has what Maia and Story have... so I'll take Gunnar.

Tumenov has shown that he is still progressing. You're looking at two guys going in different directions. Even though he's not as well known, I think Tumenov will open up as a slight favorite.

Gunnar by Fitch/Shields Tumenov
