Seems to me Nick showed up to the GSP fight to pickup a nice paycheck having already accepted losing and then seemed to show up to his fight against Anderson as if he'd been told to put on a show and give Anderson sparring practice to help Anderson with his confidence. Not really seeing any fire from Nate now either. Not saying there is no potential. I think Nate will at least bring it but like I said the fire for being a champion just doesn't seem to be here.

Great point lol... but you know what I mean... beat a champion etc...

More the prizefighter type imo, and Nick got into the best shape of his fighting career physically for the GSP fight.

Their argument that they don't want to have meaningless fights, and will only fight huge fights never made sense to me. I just wanted someone to scream at them, "um, don't you fight so you can eventually advance to the bigger fights, and then eventually, if you're good enough, you'll win enough to get a title shot."

Seems to me their conceding that they're not good enough to work their way up to title fights whenever they talk like this.

TS forgot that the elder Diaz was Strikeforce champ

I believe neither of them want to deal with what comes with being a champion all the media obligations and all the other stuff that forces them into the spotlight 24 /7

They keep us honest. Bleed for our sins. They are both undefeated champs!

But thats just it. Nick got fights with GSP and Anderson and now Nate gets the biggest fight you can get in the UFC.

They are prize fighters.

To be fair, Nick had to face the n°1 p4p at the time. It's not like he fought scrubs during that last UFC run.
He trained harder than any fight before, still lost, but certainly not after
"having already accepted losing"...

For the Anderson fight, it was sometimes odd to watch him do weird stuff but he didn't do it that much, it was blown out of proportion way too much IMHO. Usual Diaz antics.

For Nate we shall see soon, but even if it's not a championship fight if Conor gets beat up everyone will call him paper belt champ, "even worse than the Cormier situation", etc

Immediate rematch is 100% sure if McGregor loses. Fans won't see him as a champ anymore and epic break-downs and crazy situation is guaranteed; damn now I want Nate to win even more to witness the shitstorm.

Yep. Hats off to them though it has worked. Nick talked his way into a title fight against GSP and a fight over Anderson. Nate got Conor.

They are one-dimensional boxers that can be used for target practice or to hype a fight.

Both are very delusional.

Unluckily for McGregor this is not a title fight.

Tthey are not athletic nor well rounded enough. Permanent gate keepers.

Yes, to win that title he beat a guy who was never good enough to get to the UFC, and never won a fight in SF before or after his fight with Nick.

Nick defended that title twice. Once he beat a guy who only won one fight in SF (beating the same loser Nick beat to win the belt), and finally Nick beat Daley, who was 1 - 3 in SF.

So Yes, Nick held a belt, won and defended against 3 guys with a total of 2 wins in SF between the three of them.

I guess you could say he was Champ of the Losers there.

The Champions they have faced in the UFC have been way too well rounded and smart enough to not play into their game.
