So what do you want, dude? How much money do you want? I know you're just fishing here to see what you can get your hands on, but how much is it going to take for you to feel ok about the scratch on your leg and the rude manager, that you apparently want ot sue for? Give me a specific number.

Scratch on my leg lol right. My knee to my foot was
Numb for 3 days I'm also a fighter and have to fight in 30 days and am in the middle of a training camp. Their establishment caused injury to myself due to no fault of my own and inconvenienced my life. Numbers aren't your business I asked for lawyer advice or personal experience and since you haven't
Chimed in on either of those instead have just passed judgement on me then you can fuck off.

I find it hilarious that you think people should just get over situations like this and not hold the companies responsible for their negligence. Whatever exploded was probably in disrepair and should have been fixed but it wasn't and as a result a customer was injured and hospitalized over it. If that's ok with you, if you think that's something that a company should be able to do, just brush off the situation by being an asshole to the customer, you need to rethink some things. Rethink, reevaluate, or reeducate. That's not ok. In Canada, US, UK, wherever. It's not acceptable. Period. Guy has a right to sue.

Did you go to the hospital? Surely you rushed to the emergency room. Oh wait, no you didn't. You stuck around and talked to management.

I'm willing to give you advice but so far you have said nothing but that you're leg got a little hurt.

Did you go to the hospital at all over this injury?
Again, what's the number you'd be satisfied is fair compensation for your injury? You options depend on this.

Talk to an attorney.
I wouldn't expect much. If you have hospital bills, the should get covered. I wouldn't expect a whole lot on top of that since the injuries aren't too drastic or long lasting.

Basically, weigh whether your hospital bills are worth the time/effort you'll be putting in to pursue this.

SUE FOR WHAT? No one has made any case for damages here. Tell me what damages wer're suing for? The OP still hasn't said.

And you're making every assumption possible with respect to any claim of negligence. The OP said nothing more than something about a "fire cracker" pop sound and a numb leg. OH OK LET'S SUE!

Ya it was an unprovoked incident that we did
Nothing to cause, we were just eating dinner then
Kaboom, sounded like a fire cracker and two waiters
Came running over because it was so loud scared the shit out of all of us and completely ruined our birthday celebration. I just feel I am entitled
To some form of compensation as we did nothing to deserve or
Provoke the situation, not to mention that shit isn't suppose to happen, that is
Completely dangerous.

Says it all right there. Accidents happen, shit happens, move on.

Ronnie McDiddy'Dee will give you a free cheeseburger when you next time step into one of his restaurants.

That's if you were in 'Merica.

In Canada, he might hug you. Fingers crossed.

One of the first legitimate responses i've read within 3 pages, I expected a lot more from the Mayberry, first few posters made me feel like I posted in the OT by accident.

I did go to the hospital, if you read my thread I had already stated that. I won't be responding to anything unless it's directly related to legitimate advice based on profession or personal experience. Thank you Deathishere for giving a legitimate response. This huge restaurant wants to have faulty shit going on and have customers getting injured because of it and you think i'm going to let that slide because you would?? (which you wouldn't by the way if you were placed in a similiar situation). If it were your child?? elderly parent?? Let me guess, "who cares get over it?" No. The guy even had the nerve to say it took a while to turn the breaker off because they weren't properly labelled... seriously??? all 4 people that were with me work for a health and safety inspection agency and that right there is a violation, we may even call the ministry of labour while we're at it to have their safety standards inspected.

its actually in the op that he went to the emergency room because of the numbness so i would say your just being a dick at this point. whether your an attorney or not i dont know but a reputable one you certainly arent. let someone hurt themselves on your property and see how quickly they just let it go cuz you dont feel responsible.

Unless you have actually read the McDonalds case, please just don't even mention it.

ts doesnt even know if theres damage yet. people have sued for dumber shit and won.

he sounds like an asshole for sure. here you were just trying to enjoy your meal and a fucking heater explodes on your leg. sue if you can. take it for all it's worth, i'm sure the restaurant chain would sue if you fucked their shit up.

Sure they have. But it shouldn't be expected.

The expectation should be getting the hospital bills covered and maybe something small for the inconvenience.

From there, it's a matter of figuring out if the time and effort spent pursuing this is greater or less than the cost of the hospital bills.
