The size of the neck makes no difference once the choke is sunk. I know because way back I used to do MMA with this guy who had a massive neck. I am talking about a neck so big he could not wear t-shirts without cutting a big hole in the collar to fit his neck through.
If I got his back, I could choke him out like anyone else. Now his neck was so big that I couldn't do the normal RNC all the way through, but I'd just switch to a short RNC using my wrist bone on the carotid. It wasn't really any harder than a regular choke, and it worked just the same.
And please don't anyone go hanging himself after seeing that picture. That's a good way to end up dead in your basement and everyone will just think you had some dark secret that they never knew about.
