So on my drive home this morning I had an NDE. Not one of those bullshit ordeals where you see a white light, I actually almost died. I was driving down a mountain when a few rocks started dropping onto the road. I easily avoided them but had to do a crazy maneuver to avoid the killer that followed. It probably outweighed my truck by more than a ton. When I did this my metal water bottle went airborne inside the cab, bounced around, and landed under my brake and clutch. This is going down a steep winding mountain road with a 1000+ foot drop on one side and sold cliff to the other. Without being able to stop I had to unbuckle, open my door, and dislodge the bottle. When I popped my head back up I was almost off the road . I then regained control and continued home. If I had anything in my I would have shit myself. Fucking crazy morning.
 
holy shit, how did you not die when the bottle fell underneath the break and the clutch?
 
Cool bruh. There are two types of people in the world. Those that have had a NDE and those who haven't. Completely changes your outlook on life tbh.

I've been lucky enough to have 3. I've been closer to death than 99% of the people on the planet have, 3 separate times. I was legally dead for several minutes in the last one.

Congrats on not dying TS!

don't know, I went around a.few corners while I was under the dash getting the bottle out. I know the road pretty well and managed to navigate it blind for what felt like over a minute but was more like a few seconds.

It was a 40oz metal bottle that doesn't fit in those. I usually have it attached to my backpack but I had just had a hitchhiker in that seat so the bag was behind my seat.

Cool, I'm just saying if that happened to me it'd probably scare me into taking steps to make sure it could never happen again.
