Man why doesn't Minny trade the #1 pick to the Suns for Booker? Suns could put LaMelo Ball next to Ayton and let them start at the same points in their careers.

There's no guarantee that the #1 pick is gonna be as good as Booker especially in a weak draft like this, plus it isn't like Book is 30 he's still really in the same age bracket as Ayton. Would make no sense for the Suns and while the Wolves would obviously pounce at that deal I'd be amused to see how a KAT/Book/D-Lo is gonna do on defense even if the offense will be filthy

that sounds like a gigantic "nope" from the suns.

Booker is a boarderline All Star, and if he wasnt on such a dodgy team he probably already would be, id rather wait and see what happens with the suns this season before looking to blow things up.

but your premise would mean LaMelo would have to become better than the plethora of good-superstar-elite guards in the west.

He'd have more of a chance if he gets drafted to the east, but good luck.

Why would suns do that? Booker is 24 years old, you make it sound like he’s old and not part of the long term picture for suns. He’s also under a reasonable contract for 4 more seasons meaning suns have zero worry of losing him anytime soon. If suns want absolutely nothing to do with being good at basketball, then sure I could see them dealing booker for the top pick in a weak draft with no clear #1 pick.
