22% of police brutality victims are black. Definitely tragic. What’s also tragic is that the other 78% aren’t covered by the media. Where are the marches, riots, and looting sessions for the 130 children murdered this summer? Sad that according to the left and the media, since they weren’t convicted felons, their lives don’t matter:

Furthermore, I empathize greatly with George Floyd. That was deeply sad and wrong. However, this Blake guy was resisting arrest, brandishing a knife, had a warrant out for sexual assault, and was reaching for what may have been a gun. The cop was left with no choice. No evidence of racial motivation. Anyone would have been shot in that situation. Complying with the police shouldn’t be this difficult.

Edit: When I'm on sherdog, I expect these discussions to happen whether its serious or us fucking around. I fuck around A LOT on this site, and I love all you dumb bastards who fuck around too. The difference is, I think we all understand what we say on this karate forum doesn't actually mean a god damn thing. So its easier to just read and be like "yeah man fuck it I'll take the bait" but when we're watching game, the sad part is we just think about the irony and jokes and the NBA doesnt do us any favors. It's not about the game, they're devaluing their own product. Now if you want to say human lives mean more than a game, yeah I agree, but I don't give a fuck about human lives when I'm watching sports. Also, cops aren't judge, jury and executioner. Wait behind your car, guns drawn, and if you see a gun being fired at you then you fire back...and not a second sooner. YES...wait until you're being fired at, then use lethal tactics. Sorry, this is your job and you chose to do it.

Police do good things, but they aren't all selfless heroes. They get paid, out of our taxes, to protect us. If you can't handle not murdering someone because you think they might have a gun, then your pussy ass doesn't need to be a cop. Get a different job where the slightest thing wont make you shit yourself. You CHOSE this job. You weren't picked as a sacrificial lamb, and you aren't volunteering as tribute. Two people were convicted in the murder of Michael Jordan's dad James. One is about to be paroled...not sure how long he's going to last on the outside.

You make good points but black people make up 13% of the population but a far larger percentage of police encounters.

Groups don’t commit crime at the same rate. For instance, the homicide rate of blacks is 24x higher than Asians.

Blacks: 13% of pop, 53% of homicides
Asians: 6% of pop, 1% of homicides

Blacks make up 27% of overall offenses, which means 27% of police encounters. The fact they only make up 22% of unarmed police brutality victims shows a non-black person is actually more at risk of being killed by the cops than a black person. As stated previously, these cases are never covered by the media, so it creates the distorted perception that only black people get attacked by the cops.
