Nah, everyone was saying he's another Eurotrash white guy who will flop and people were hyping up Bagley and Ayton, I also remember basketball heads talking about Colin Sexton and Michael Porter being the sleeper picks.

I was the only one here who thought Luka should have been the top pick. Knew :eek::eek::eek:ley and gayton would suck especially in a league where big men don’t dominate any more.

I have zero problems stating that I thought he was going to be like the rest of the skilled, unathletic Euro point forwards. Another Mario Hezonya, Namaja Bjelica, Dario Saric, Dragan Bender etc.

You guys have immense insight into the beautiful game though, wish I had the enthusiasm to watch the Euro game.

You would have to be an idiot to compare him to any of those cans. Luka was the consensus best player on these forums. He was dominating a league far superior to NCAA. He should have been a clear number 1.

Look at my post history my dude. There were many of us here saying he should be picked number 1. Obviously none of us predicted he would be this good.

I championed Luka well before the draft. Check your shit first before calling a dude out.

This. He was a teenager and mvp of the best league in Europe. Those other cans he mentioned usually were riding the bench.

I can say with almost 100% certainty that you people had likely not even watched more than a single games of Luka Doncic ahead of the draft and your claims. If your predictions turned out correct, it certainly wasn't based on your knowledge or experiences with bball, and more than likely, luck.

Euro MVPs are handed out for averaging 12/8. A healthy prime Andrew Bynum could likely win 4 straight Euro MVPs. To say people really valued that credential is kind of laughable.

I don’t think anyone predicted this ceiling or that he’d be hanging at this level since day 1 but I’m pretty sure anyone who was paying attention knew he was a certified baller and a bonafide stud
