NBA NBA Thread: Offseason Extravaganza

The west had the best teams and its not like the East isnt loaded with talent

Tier 1: Favorites to win NBA Championship
OKC
Rockets
Denver

Tier 2: Team that can win with single star injury or match up to the finals
Wolves
Lakers
Clippers

Tier 3: Play in teams but beat anyone in the East
Mavs
Grizz
Spurs
Warriors

The East has

Tier 1: Favorites to win Championship
Nobody

Tier 2: Team that can win with injury luck or match up
Nobody

Tier 3: Play in teams in the West
Nobody

Interesting when you put it like that. Those Achilles injuries have really lopsided the league.

Meh, they included Jeff Green and Clinton capela. Those guys aren't going to do much. Let's see how it develops, I wouldn't be surprised if kd has an abrasive demeanor.
Yeah two guys getting rotational/match up minutes arent expected to do much but that. Great analysis.

People that have never touched a basketball in their life, can't see their feet, and just listen to ESPN all day should take note.

Did you ever think its because the talent of role players is vastly improved and not because the league is watered down? Did it occur to you that Buddy Hield would be a better version of Ray Allen?

There is zero chance any team in NBA history beats the KD Warriors in a 7 game series when they're healthy. It's not happening. Which btw, was a superteam. The Celtics were a super team too. Tatum, Brown, Jrue, Pissflaps, Horfag, and White. That's not including someone like Kornet who is the ultimate holdover when your other bigs need rest.

The team that just won the NBA finals had like 3 all NBA award winners and Chet HolmGOAT. Idk, they're kinda fucking stacked.
Wiat, you think Buddy Hield is better than Ray Allen? Seriously?

Celtics won the championship with one top 100 player and same with Denver.

With OKC, SGA will be top 100 but I doubt Williams and Hologram will.

I feel Hakeem was the best overall defender of all time and rated too low. Also feel if we're counting best overall basketball player as opposed to NBA player, it is Kareem. Dude won at EVERY level of basketball - HS, College and NBA. 3 consecutive NCAA championships.

And Steph is lower than the top top guys due to one reason - DEFENSE.

Kobe is slightly overrated because he passed away. He started moving up the ranks after it happened due to nostalgia.

1. Jordan
2. LeGM
3. Kareem
4. Magic
5. Larry
6. Shaq/Hakeem same tier
7. Russell
8. Wilt
9. Kobe
10. Steph
11. Duncan
12. Robert Horry

Duncan at 11 lol

lmao @ top 100. Who cares. They had two all nba players, mvp, and two all nba defensive players (another multi all nba defensive player). Team was stacked by all measures.

Not when compared to the 80's, both the Celtics and Lakers were loaded. What did those teams have, like four top 100 each?

Top 100 can lick my ass. It's a worthless ranking done by a bum ass Celshits fan. I can make a top 100 that's just as valid.

Who cares? They played in an era of crackheads and no defense. Defense was fouling a guy because he wasn't missing lay ups. None of those 80s teams would have players in the top 100 today.

Throw a low level star like Brandon Ingram in 1980 and he makes Lou Alcindor look like Darc Milicic.

Next you're gonna tell me how stacked the 60s were with top 100 teams when there was only 108 players lmfao

Who cares. Both the 80's and now required more talent to win titles compared to the era that Rodman is talking about in his quote. No one should be disagreeing with that fact.

What about Denver? Only one great player. Name another champion with less star power.

What is star power? Because Jamal Murray got a max extension. If you mean name recognition its extremely vague.

Dirk won with a bunch of fading vets.

Good point on Dallas, further proof you need less of a stacked team now a days.

Cans ITT:

1. Yeah, the Warriors won four chips and basically owned the league for a decade. Curry sucks though and the Warriors are a shit team whose second best player is Draymond Green.
2. This is the GOAT era because you need everyone on your team to be a GOAT-level superstar.

Yes, 2011 basketball is a lot like 2025 basketball.

You fucking idiot

Maybe you can draw up some more imaginary lines for the rest of us. Because clearly the 2011 Mavdicks were playing the same game the 2015 Warriors were lmao

Not only that, 1995 Rockets were trash, the 1990 Shitsons sucked too. But hey, I guess once a decade (not era, decade) an underdog team completely trivializes the entirety of the league and its history. Brilliant.

Jeez, maybe you would be less cranky if you came out of the closet.

Didn't the '95 rockets have 2 top 100?

Oh wait, you don't care about top 100. You still have that man crush on Delavadova? Was there a player this shitty that got minutes for the '95 Rockets?
