Mavs are a great franchise. Just bad personnel moves (not counting drafting Luka) and Cuban hasn’t been as good as a GM like the Dirk days

Nash was never going to be the player he turned into unless he left. Much like Harden and others who later led a team. Also Nash was nowhere close to the MVP level he became in Phoenix so I don’t blame Cuban much for that. Dirk was always the focal point.

Also what super team did he dismantle?

I can name a million guys who have had less sustained success and never had a franchise hall of famer like Dirk or Luka. I don’t think Cuban is the best, but to call him a moron is weird when every team has numerous mistakes as well.

Don’t see what’s so funny, I’ve been following the NBA and Mavs since the early 90’s and they have been a competitive franchise most seasons. Even a stretch in the 00’s when they went to the playoffs or won 50 games for 10+ consecutive seasons. Won a title as underdogs that whole playoffs in 2011 also.

Cuban is also a player’s owner so many players respect and like him. Mavs are also the 10th most valuable franchise today.

How do you judge a franchise when calling it a shit tier franchise?what’s the criteria? Success?

Most likely and especially if he leaves this offseason. At this point, Kyrie is the problem. Every single team he goes to he doesn’t last there and Cuban should have known that.

Steve Nash was the same player, the only difference was amare running the PnR lol

Harden left because he wasn't gonna get paid with Durant/Westbrook and Ibaka.


That mavs team had Michael finley, Josh Howard, Antawn Jamison, Antoine Walker lol

the only thing they didn't have was a good center.

I’m questioning whether you were even alive back then or watched the nba lmao. I watched basically every Mavs game in that span and anyone who did knows Nash became a much better player when he was the focal point and leader for the suns. You’re telling me he would be a two time mvp if he stayed with the Mavs playing second fiddle to Dirk? Lol cmon. He would have never reached his full potential there and he put up career numbers later in Phoenix to prove it.

His playing style also changed and was geared more towards his strengths with D’antoni’s playing style as the catalyst. Mavs simply didn’t have that type of style or personnel to run that offense successfully.

And why you would choose that group of Mavs for your argument. Calling that a superteam is a joke. You realize that 03-04 year was their worst record wise than the seasons before and after for many years right? Lol. Also Harden was a similar example of how his PLAY became better when he left because of the opportunity. Big reason he left is because he was 3rd best on that team and was a 6th man, in addition to the money.

He wouldn't have won MVP, Dirk would have. Because Dirk would have been the primary option. Just like when you think of all time greatest players Dirk is in another league compared to Steve Nash. That team was great. The west was just stacked.
