Yeah people mock Westbrook for the empty triple doubles and the missed shots but in the regular season that shit was very effective at getting meh groups into the post season. It was only against good teams in the playoffs it doesn't work and even then when he had KD, KD was able to cover that shit up. They had the 73 win Warriors down 3-1 and made the confrence finals 3 other times. In terms of making the playoffs the Lakers excuses are pretty rational the issue is them thinking that team was something more than a low seed first round exit(lol). That wasn't Westbrooks fault but the guy with the infuriating playing style is going to get the blame before the guys who won a title.

Right now people would rather have Wiggins on team for the defense, because Westbrooks game is infuriating and because Westbrook is old but in terms of their peak production Westbrook was on a different level(he scored 40+in a finals game). Westbrook made all nba 1st or second team 7 times which means he was a top 10 player for 7 years. Wiggins is a base all star who likely will never make All NBA. He was underrated before this year but he wasn't that guy. Also Wiggins is inefficent too(on a winning team he's getting better looks) his inefficency just didn't produce as much. He doesn't need it too produce as much because he can do other stuff while Westbrook can't but that doesn't mean he's a "better player".

I would prefer Wiggins to Westbrook because of Westbrook's shot selection. He is worst than the kid in 5th grade who would just chuck the ball cause they couldn't dribble.

They’re both awful, Wiggins is just the 3rd or 4th option to score thus gets the ball when everything else collapses
