NBA MVP this season?

RWB today is a much better shaater than he's ever been

This season on career high volume (over 7 3FGA/gm) where he was forced to create for himself more than ever and had less breathing room than ever before, he shat 34% from 3. When he led the NBA in scoring in 2015 he shat 30% from 3 on 4.3 attempts, with Durant drawing double teams last season he shat 30% from 3 on 4.3 attempts. Inside the arc his %s went down this year but I think that's fully explainable by the fact that defenses could just collapse on him instantly. But his 3pt shaating demonstrates that he's a significantly better shaater right now than he ever was with Durant
Well, when he's actually a good shatter, from an absolute rather than a relative or comparative point of view, give me a call.

Worth noting:

James Harden in C'Antoni's offense with a roster of floor spacing teammates that would make LeBrick cream his pants shat 35% from 3 this season

Bronk playing 1 on 5 was at 34%

Harden's efficiency advantage this season derives virtually entirely from the fact that he's allowed tremendous freedom to navigate within the halfcourt offense whereas Bronk gets the kitchen sink thrown at him the second he steps inside the 3pt line. That, and, to a lesser degree, Harden's incessant ref-baiting

Harden's roster isn't much better. Lou Williams forgot how to shoot, you would need to threaten their life if you wanted CC or Ryan Anderson to grab a meaningful rebound and the corpse of EG has sucked for like 2 months

It's lightyears ahead offensively, which makes life on the offensive end infinitely easier for Harden than Bronk. Rocks had a 115 offensive rating (2nd in NBA) and just set the single-season 3pt record. Blunder were literally the worst 3pt shaating team in the NBA and had a 107 offensive rating (which is actually preposterously high considering Victor Oladipshit was their 2nd best offensive player and he only played 67 games)

i already conceded <OKC16>should win but let's not pretend Harden isn't working out of a system.

there's a reason a 4th seed hasn't won MVP since what Moses Malone?

he'll get it, but he doesn't deserve it.

Give it to Giannis.

Well, Westbrook is only 2 turnovers from extending his triple double run into the playoffs.

Is it really fair to hold that against him when the system is built around him?
