Well, OKC has drafted another skin and bones lanklet, as is their tradition. This historic role has been taken up once more, and has a new heir:

Let us show some respect to the trail blazers who came before him:

I am really looking forward to next year. I watched a lot of Chet during the year and there is a fierceness and attitude about him that makes me wanna believe. He shares an attitude with Tyler Herro (and also body weight, unfortunately) that is very competitive and I don't see him backing down. He is rail thin but I don't worry about him backing down. Offensively he shoots the 3 at a high level which is something OKC desperately needs, and he provides shot blocking. My real concerns are lateral quickness, I think he will be able to hang relatively ok, but we will see in practice.. and obviously with any lanky 7 footers, health.

If they start the following line up next year:

Giddey
SGA
Dort
Dieng
Chet

I think that is a solid young core with lots of time to develop. Giddey needs to work on his shooting, Chet his body, Dieng is fairly raw.. I think Presti is setting up the next tank for a STACKED draft pretty well. This is a line up that will try hard to win, but lose games while showing flashes. Their competition for the best pick next year also made some big leaps, so I am happy for everyone. Detroit and Houston knocked it out of the park imo. I'm very high on Ivey, and I think he and Cade are going to be a big problem for the East in 4 or 5 years.

Here is what I'm trying to say brother. He would have to gain A LOT just to raise from "Anorexic" to "Skinny" class. KD came in thin but he's 240 pounds of muscle, 45 pounds heavier than Chet and 2 inches shorter. I mean, maybe some future team benefits from a lot of hard work? Its so much muscle weight, it would take multiple years to put it on correctly. Think about that, he would need 45 pounds of muscle weight added just to be in the "skinny" range of other similar guys.

Maybe he can be a solid spot up shooter until he gets stronger? I'm really shocked at how many teams would have jumped at this guy if OKC didn't take him. It seems obvious he's not physically ready for the NBA.

Steroids are cheap for these guys

I would like to see a 7 footer at least 240ish man. He would still be thin at 240 but he's 195. 45 pounds of muscle, even on steroids is A LOT man. That's not something you just put on overnight in an off season.

He obviously doesn’t lift he could easily gain 45.

He is going to be an immediate impact player, and by that I mean people are going to push him over and he will impact the ground, and the second impact is going to be reducing OKC's # of wins to a number low enough to secure next year's draft.

This year was a bit of a weak class. I see him being a 3rd option down the line that can stretch the floor and block shats if he can stay healthy and hit a playing weight. SGA + next years top pick + Chet as a 3rd option floor spacing shot blocker. I'm trying to have some optimism here, but I'm not delusional. I get the same feelings looking at his frame but for now I just have to trust Presti and hope he hits some serious JOOCE. You're correct in saying his body is at least 3 years away, it will take some time to get it where it needs to be, and then who is to say he won't be too slow then?

These things are hard to predict. There were analysts at ESPN that said Luka shouldn't even be drafted because he wasn't NBA level talent. Let that shit sink in. <45> Maybe Chet surprises me and I eat my words as I watch him display a sick 7 footer handle. You never know.

Brick wouldn't be roasted nearly as hard if it wasn't for that contract. Props to Presti for sticking to his players and paying his stars, but also getting out from under that contract and beginning the game of hot potato with it.

Just saw this today, could this be the first year we see of Lean Luka? I think his trip to the WCF may have given him some hope and motivation.
