NBA Draft this Thursday.

A few Stand out Names , Jabari Smith , Chet Holgrem, Paulo Banchero , Jaden Ivey. Personally the riskiest one might be Chet Holgrem since I don't know if he actually puts up enough size to handle a full Season over multiple years.

There isn’t a clear #1 to me this year. I’d roll with Jabari smith, he should be a bucket getter. But just not sure he brings enough to table to call him franchise player outside of scoring. He reminds me of a higher upside version of kyle kuzma.

holmgren is going to be a curious player to watch. He has the skills and potential to have the most impact on a game from multiple facets. But damn he’s gonna get pushed around down low and if he tries to play outside because that’s where he’s most comfortable, defenders will be aggressive with him and try to rip him every time he puts the ball down. He might lose his confidence and then just turn into a 7 foot three ball shooter

Holgrem is refusing to give his medical info to most NBA teams and didnt go to the NBA Heart screening thing

Russilo also said he heard that his agents want him at the thunder

hope its just draft manipulation and that he doesnt really have a heart condition

It probably is them trying to avoid getting drafted by Orlando, it's not like he can avoid a Full Physical to con a team into signing him hiding a heart condition.

I think Jaden Ivey will be the best player in the draft 3 years out. He seems like the most athletic and has the best ability at making space for his own shot. He has also shown he can run a pick and roll and hits open shooters in the corner.

Chet could be a unicorn but I always worry about 7 footers health. Jabari sounds like Rashard Lewis 2.0. I haven't watched a ton of him, but his shooting form looks nice. I'll be happy with whoever OKC gets. I have no idea what Presti's vision is butI think it will be Chet or Smith. They have SGA and Giddey so they will likely take a forward.

From what I've seen of Ivey he looks like he will could emerge as the best player in this draft. I think between Paulo , Chet and Jabari he has the highest Floor , he's 6 foot 10 , already has an NBA body rebounds well , and has good shooting mechanics , if he improves the consistency of his 3s he can be a reliable Big with good range and a borderline 20 and 10 kind of guy. Smith and Holgrem are getting more hype because they have length on Paulo .

Lol this is easily the least hyped draft in the history of the draft.

I don’t even like College Basketball like I used to anyways

Last year felt lack luster too , but Cunningham, Scottie Barnes and Evan Mobley had flashes of them possibly being franchise guys. Mobley looked like a Mix of KG and Duncan , Barnes had glimpses of Giannis in him. Cunningham had a horrible 1st few games but ended up with performances where he looked like the top guy. At the very least the top 3 in this draft are getting a little more recognition.

This is supposed to be a deep year for the draft plus there are some big name free agents floating around and some teams that seem willing to make huge trades. We should get some sort of unexpected happenings tonight.

Yeah I’m not hyped for this draft either. Just doesn’t feel like I know much about a lot of the guys outside of the top 5-6 prospects.

as a ucla fan it’ll be interesting to see if/where juzang and Watson get drafted.

juzang is great midrange shooter and finisher in traffic. Doesn’t need much space and can play off others since he’s a shooter. But his 3 point range isn’t there and he doesn’t bring much to table outside of buckets.

watson is raw as hell but tons of upside. I see ESPN has him sneaking into the first round on most recent mock. His length, athleticism and defense are all fantastic. But on offense he would try to make stuff happen and when it worked you were like man why isn’t this guy playing more but then he would throw up a brick that wasn’t close or blow a bunny in the paint and the ucla perimeter was too deep with options for the coach to just ride it out with the kid learning through mistakes.

Damn poor Paulonis destined to not win shit now.
