I'm obtuse? Half this forum denies the greatness of the past. With few exceptions I would take Larry Legends Celts or Magic Johnson's Lakers to beat any team in this years playoffs with the Warriors being the only team with even a chance. The 80's may be the greatest decade of basketball ever. And btw the conversation didn't start with me saying hall of fame, it started when iwhoopedbatman claimed the talent pool of the 80's is not even close to the current players. I find that absurd considering how many all time greats played in that era. Then he doubled down and said half of them wouldn't even start in today's game.
So go ahead and explain to me Luminaire how it is these guys wouldn't even start in today's game.
Julius Erving
Bill Walton
Kareem
Geroge Gervin
Alex English
Larry Bird
Kevin McHale
Isiah Thomas
Moses Malone
Magic Johnson
Robert Parish
James Worthy
Clyde Drexler
Charles Barkley
Dominique Wilkens
Adrian Dantley
Hakeem Olajuwan
Michael Jordan
John Stockton
Dennis Johnson
Karl Malone
Scottie Pippen
Ralph Sampson
Bernard King
Maurice Cheeks
Lmao... lists players from 1969 to 2008.
Sorry Muster, go watch the damn games again, anyone with eyes can see the difference in quality on the floor.
I’m not going to sit here and pick apart players I enjoyed watching as a kid simply because you’re blind.

All those players played in the 80's which is how this argument originated, comparing the 80's to now, but ok, now I'm convinced. Your acumen is insurmountable.

I'd take Dream over Shaq.lol, take every great player that played any minutes in a decade and attribute them that to the decade.
If that’s the criteria, 90’s > 80’s all day. You can have Bill Walton lmao... I’ll take Shaq. You can keep Alex English lmao... I’ll take Kobe. You can have Mo Cheeks LMAO, I’ll take Allen Iverson.
This isn’t going well for you.
I'd take Dream over Shaq.
I'd take Magic over Kobe.
I'd take Bird over McGrady
Etc. Incredible players and teams are just that, INCREDIBLE.
Come get it. I'll take Jordan's 1995-1996 Bulls team over any team in history in a 7 game series. Prove me wrong.Hope you’re ready to take an L too lmao!!

LMAO, you sound like @Breakitdown. Shut the fuck up. That team wouldn't even beat The Sonics team that lost to the Bulls in 6 that year('95-'96).01 lakers in 5. That was easy.
Gdamn you trigger me. The 80's had Hakeem Olajuwon but you pick Bill Walton to compare to Shaq because you think it makes you clever. That is not even to mention the argument was not 80's compared to 90's. Then you pick Alex English to compare to Kobe, once again, oh no, you are so clever. In the 1986 playoffs Jordan dropped 63 in the Boston Garden against Larry Bird in what may be the greatest game ever played by a single player. I'll go ahead and take him over Kobe.
<Lmaoo>"He must be the stupidest son of a bitch alive."
Lol the team that lost to a young magics team a year earlier? Best team ive ever seen was the 2014 Spurs. They would have routed the Bulls and any celtics team that ever existed .Come get it. I'll take Jordan's 1995-1996 Bulls team over any team in history in a 7 game series. Prove me wrong.
