Bet you think Bill Russell would still be a GOAT candidate today too. SMH.

Mikan would completely dominate now. He's in the HOF, man.

It isn't that you're wrong it is that you don't understand how to frame a debate. These HOF stats are pointless.

I don't need to frame anything. His claim that the talent pool of the 80's is nothing compared to today is absurd. The 80's were overflowing in talent.

Half the PGs still backed down from above the key in the 80s and early 90s, just stop

Every era has great players for that era. Today's are better than the 80's, which were significantly better than the 60's (when they scored at even higher rates than the 80's). And the rosters top to bottom are light years better today. LMAO at Kurt Rambis making a roster in the NBA today. Meanwhile he's considered a key player on those Lakers teams, who started half the time.

Not as bad as people who think Babe Ruth’s beer drinking fatass would still dominate today’s league.

Hell no, if you just snatched him up in a time machine and brought him to now, he'd be completely overmatched. He's still GOAT. Just like Russell and Cousey are still all-time greats, despite the fact they couldn't start in BD's rec league.

well he did do more cocaine than...

Muster is a bit obtuse.

Fairly funny at this point.

He’s like “Hurr Durr look at all these hall of famers from the 80s, how many hall of famers are playing today? Zero. I win, you’re dumb.”

I met Doc like a month and a half ago. I umpired his son's little league game. He sat 10 feet away the whole time. Was fucking awesome.
IIRC you didn't do any bumps with him...casual...

Do the Cavs actually have a chance again in game 2? Possibly no Thompson or Iguodala, does LBJ have another GOAT performance in him?

Extra days off definitely help Bern's cause. I don't think he goes for 50 again, but we'll see. Klay being out would be interesting. I still think Curry and Durant finally both have whole games playing the way they've played in spurts recently. If Thompson plays, without being hobbled, I think they probably blow Leaveland out game 2. But these playoffs have been weird.

Bern is averaging 39 this yoffs with 2+ days rest, he'll be fine.
Its love and others that are suspect

Originally, the results of game 1 gave me even more reason to think this would be a sweep or at least a gentleman's sweep, since it seemed like the Cavs blew their wad and still didn't win due to J.R. going full retard. However, if Thompson is out or compromised along with Iguodala, and Bron plays another GOAT level game, I think the Cavs have a shot in game 2. They can still take away home court advantage, which I never thought they could do going in. If they do that, and then win at least 1 of the next 2 at home, things could get interesting...

Has GSW said who will start/get the bulk of minutes if Klay can't go? Obviously Swaggy is capable of having a great game once in a blue moon, but I wouldn't be upping his rotation minutes much (unless he gets hot, and even then it would be a game to game decision). Cook and Bell would be my choices to play more, but who knows (Leaveland dominated the glass so badly in game 1, filling in a little more with another big isn't the worst decision imo). Livingston could obviously see a step up in minutes too, but I really didn't think he looked good game 1.
