I was watching the preview of Robbie Lawler vs Woodley. Lawler was defined as a "natural born fighter". But how to define them ? What are the characteristics of a "natural born fighter" ? Their pattern ?
How would you define them ?
Thinking about it, I see the "natural born fighters" as fighters that :
- would fight anybody at anytime
- take fights on short notice
- go to a fight even if injured, sicks...
- don't care about belts, money, organizations...
- don't take very seriously weightclasses, cutting, etc.
- have a impressive longevity
- don't quit after a devastating loss
- are relatively immune to all the mind games, the trash-talk...
My list :
- Dan Henderson (fought MW, LHW. In the circus since 1997)
- Saku (fought way bigger than him, great longevity)
- Minowa (same as Saku)
- Murilo Bustamante (fought bigger than him, good longevity)
- Minotauro (take fight on short notice IIRC, found bigger than him (Sapp))
- Marloes Coenen (16 years of fighting, fought in tournaments bigger than her)
