UFC can waive waiting period. They did it so Brock could be juiced v Hunt.
But doing that got the UFC sued, since Brock was obviously juicing and Hunt was not happy about it. Why would the UFC want to go through that again?

Why did Conor leave the USADA pool anyway? He's not retired, just injured.

They have done it for dozens of fighters, not just Brock. Happens alot too when they need a short notice fighter on an undercard etc

Or used to do it alot in the past not sure if it happens as often now but it wasn't a rare thing to have the time waived somewhat

Hunt also got obliterated in that suit effort. I suppose precedent is something to consider as well, but that was not a win for "clean fighters."

UFC won, Hunt lost the case and ended up having to pay UFC costs. Seems like it worked out for UFC.

I assume he left cause sick of being tested and knew he couldn't fight for a period.
