What did you think of there culture? Current and past? I loved reading on their past. I thought the face paint and how they treated the earth was great.

Yours?

i honestly don't know anything about their current culture, aside from there being a huge alcohol issue in their reservations.

My great great Grandmother was native american. Its weird, it's just not something that ever came up. I saw a picture of her when I was a kid, an old tin type, and she dressed as a white person would at the time but she was pretty clearly not white.

From what I understand, it was still sort of taboo to mix races at that time. Not that it didn't happen, it was just considered sort of unusual. Its just not something that was ever talked about in my family. I have no idea what tribal affiliation she had or if she had any at all.

I think north american indigenous cultures are very interesting.

We esentailly destoryed thier culture and killed 10s of millions of them. For some reason, we do not give a shit about that like we do black slavery or jews.

I am friends with some native Americans and this is true. I read a article somewhere that gave the theory the reason they have poor reaction to alcohol is they never had it except for last 200+ years. While other cultures have had it for thousands and built up a resistance.

Part of it is that they aren't a culture of crybabies looking for massive handouts for something that happened 150+ years ago like...some other cultures. Also, some of them (not all) are making out like friggin' bandits with that casino money.

Also, Jews don't seem to complain nearly as much as...some other cultures, probably because most of their oppression didn't occur in America. They can't point as many fingers.

I find the giants the most interesting and that's not meant as a baseball pun, lol.

I didn't say that they were thriving, I said some of them were making out like bandits.

I get that. My point is that even when they are doing well in the US and Canada, their culture is still gone.

most native americans died due to diseases brought over from the europeans. just like 1/3 of the european population died during the black plague due to the diseases brought over from asia. i guess you can say that the europeans killed them, but it wasn't as if the europeans intentionally slaughtered them. i'm sure some europeans did, but the vast majority of them died because of diseases.

I got a laugh out of Brocket 99 back in the day. That's all I know about Natives tbh.

Bro: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Fort_Pitt

This event is best known for the use of biological warfare, where the British gave items from a smallpox infirmary as gifts to Native American emissaries with the hope of spreading the deadly disease to nearby tribes.

there are some fine ass Native American women, for sure.

Euros/US/Can hunted their food into extinction, waged direct war, burned their villages, and build infrastructure like fiences to stop heards/food sources from migrating, so yeah a lot died due to disease but it was actions that destroyed their society, culture, and killed lots too.

Listen- I'm not saying anyone owes anyone anything. My point is they done got fucked over > others who are always bitching about it.

I think American history is the most interesting history. They had a very cool culture.

They've barely even recovered anything from Germany. Given history, they're pretty content as long as you don't expel or murder them.
