Nate's leg hasn't been the same since Cowboy [video]

too bad cerrone didnt have the confidence to go to the ground with him. He could have won those rounds.

This. Greg Jackson was practically begging Cerrone to follow him to the ground.

Everyone remembers the boxing clinic that Diaz put on that night, but have seemingly forgotten the leg kicking clinic Cerrone put on. Cerrone just got baited into playing Diaz's game too much. He was dominating with the leg kicks but wanted to try to prove a point throwing hands with Diaz. When you try to box with a Diaz in MMA, you lose. Period. Nobody has outboxed one of those guys in an MMA fight yet.

I would love to see this fight again. LW or WW. No matter to me.

Who won that fight? who got flipped off for everyone to watch like a dumbsumbi1tch?

Nate needs to be check those kicks man, he could easily bait out kicks to open up his hands even more.

Cerrone's inside leg kick is such an underrated move in my opinion, I wish more fighters picked it up, very rewarding.

I think Nates fine

that was such a weird fight

Cerrone had serious ego problems, if he just stayed on the outside and blasted Diaz on the legs he would have won
instead he tried to outbox Nate and got fucked

And his leg hasn't been the same... how, exactly?

Nate Diaz is an American hero

Both Diaz brothers are national treasures

I really dont understand the zero leg kick defense. I saw a MT clinch against Conor and in his other fights...how does this happen?

They spar with Andre Ward and apparently hold their own. When you think of that, and know how God 'Son of God' is, it blows the mind. Conor was the only one, that I remember, to legit out box a Diaz and that only lasted for a round and a half and speaks volumes to how good he is but what a legend the Diaz bros are. The Diaz bros dont have the stand up aura that Aldo, JBJ or Andy do but against elite MMA strikers that chose to stand with em, like Daley, Conor, MJ, Cerrone, Lawler, etc, they smoke em. They usually don't come thru in the title fights because they fight 'smart' fighters that stick to a gameplan and don't box. The Diaz bros are the greatest boxers in MMA history, no question....the Conor fight reminds us why they are the most under rated fighters in history and beat everyone that doesn't wrestle or run.

That all being said, there is no fight I want to see more than Conor Diaz 2; that shit was AMAZING while it lasted - a true super hero bar fight. Say what you want about Conor breaking but I've never seen anyone do that to a Diaz. Worth 60 bucks any day of the week; the Hagler Hearns of MMA.

Not to nitpick, but I couldn't ignore such an absolute statement ;)

Nick was by no means 'outclassed' or anything like that...but I think it is fair to say that KJ Noons outboxed him in their first fight (prior to the unfortunate stoppage), as much as I hate to admit it as a huge fan of both bros.

You do know that the kicks where Nate falls have way less impact than the ones where he stays standing right.

The only reason Conor wonnthe first round is because Nate purposely started slow because of no training camp. If he had a proper camp Conor would not have scored like that. It wasnt as if it was a 10/8 round. Watch it back a few times with no sound

He checks them FAR more now

These aren't knockdowns from kicks, these are sweeps with kicks.

Good video nonetheless, but i wish people would stop circulating the nonsense that cerrone threw the fight away when the reality is that he just got beaten the fuck up

He tried to kick, it's hard to kick when you're getting backed up and punched. He didn't abandon what he should have been doing, Cerrone can't handle pressure and pressure is exactly what Diaz brought. You probably didn't think of this originally, you read someone else saying this because people who can't give Diaz brothers credit for wins have been saying that since the second the fight ended.
