Nate was Conors toughest fight, he blew through everyone else easily, but Nate's a mediore fighter?

He blew thru a bunch of manlets, Eddie included.

Diaz was the first normal sized human he faced.

McG is a good scrapper, but Nate is a gatekeeper in his own division. He's definitely no world-beater, by any means.

I don't know if he blew through Chad easily, but ok he ended up finishing him. Conor just has no business fighting past 155.

Aldo isn't a manlet, neither is Eddie. Chad is short but built like a tank.

But with that said, Diaz is definitely just a gatekeeper at LW. He was never more than that, I don't get why people think he was some sort of unbeatable fighter. He's lost to everyone he's faced that is considered elite.

Nate is the only non-manlet that Conor has fought, that's why he struggled against him.

Do people on here not understand style match ups?

Without going into too much depth because it's obvious and I cba, the Diaz brothers weakness has always been leg kicks and wrestling, Conor doesn't have the size of wrestling to hold Nate down and likes to strike, and hes used to putting guys away with ease, whereas Nate has a solid jaw and keeps on coming, it's a perfect match up for just bleed fans but a nightmare for Conor and his gas tank.

You're right, I'm sure Jake Ellenberger and Bryan Barberena would have their way with Conor LOL Just give it up, Nate is a badass fighter who guarded the championship of his division with the balls and glory of a Soda Popinski. Nate Diaz is the Soda Popinski of Weiterweight

Calling Nate mediocre may be an exaggeration, but he's certainly not elite. We're talking about the guy who got ragdolled by Rory Mac, sonned by Ben Henderson, beaten into a living death by Josh Thompson, and smacked around by RDA.

Granted, those are all quality opponents I mentioned, but they beat him far more impressively than McNuggets did in his majority decision.

I think a big factor was that Conor couldn't get in Nate's head. Not taking away from Nate's skills

The term "manlet" gets horribly overused around here. Sure, a flw like DJ (5'2") could be called so. But the average height of a man globally is 5'8". The average height of an American male is 5'9". People like to say the presence of Hispanics and Asians lower America's average height, but it's actually right at 5'10" for both white and black males. So unless you live in one of these Nordic countries where the average height is above 6', the majority of fighters at 145 and above would not, objectively speaking, be considered "manlets".

Nate is a "good" fighter but he's never been great. If he ever fights again at 155 it will be his toughest fight, and I think he will lose easily. Whether its Tony or Khabib.

Nate's 3-3 at welterweight.
