Nate is better than Nick

Those fighters won't do much against the current competition. Nick wins are not impressive, it's just the way it is.

I get that why a lot like him, but he is not nearly as good as some say.

sorry but that is such a stupid thing to say, that's like saying GSP's win over Hughes doesnt count for shit cause it won't do much against the current competition? or perhaps Andersons win over Vitor doesnt count for much because he isn't looking so hot against current competition

never go full retard CJohnny my son

although I actually agree with you that he's not as good as people make out, he's never gonna be a top 3 WW, maybe just about top 5, same with Nate, but still

Solid thing to say. But again, Daley is not that good of a fighter and you mention him as one of his best wins. That says a lot. He also had a great size advantage against those fighters.

they fought different Gomi's

Also Nick has fought harder competition, and in a real fight Nick would win from pure size

They are basically the exact same size.

mate, Daley was 6-1 in his last 7 fights before he fought Diaz, his only loss being a boring decision against Kos, and since that loss to Diaz he is 13-2, for Nick to KO him in the first round is damn impressive no matter how you look at it, bar Nick no one has ever KO'd Daley in the first round and he is a damn good fighter

They are very close in skill level.

Nick - Gomi was a long long time ago,

Gomi was at the top of the heap then.

The Gomi Nate beat was a run down version. He had a pretty patchy record running up to that fight.

Nick has faced the bigger badder opposition and Nick's losses have been far less devastating than Nate's.

Doesn't matter how good you are doing if you are not fighting against the best. He for sure woudn't be anything in WW with his terrible wrestling and ground. So yes, he wasn't a good fighter.

Nick was doing good until he fought some legit competition too.

Either trolling or stupid. Nick is better than Nate everywhere, by miles.

Wtf! Nick is way better than nate. He is also tougher, and has fought the tougher competition between the two.

After reading thread

Basically of the Nicks and Nates maybe some Nicks are better than some Nates from what we saw of the Gomi's some of the Nates are better than the older Nicks but the newer Gomis are worse than older Gomis and some Nates could be considered better than some Nicks

lol

But did not realize they had a common opponent, thanks.

On Sherdog one win over Conor washes away the entire career of Nick

They are very different. Nick is a southpaw, Nate is an outifghter and counter at range, he jabs a lot and has a longer stance. Nick pressures goes to the body more and throws more combinations up close he's also physically stronger and fights rougher. They are pretty different fighters

Compared with how diverse other guys are, that still makes them pretty similar.

Don't know about that but it can be a valid argument.

No one would've said this before the Conor fight.

Nick would destroy Conor...

Thinking about the logic behind this thread makes my head hurt

That would be the only fight where I might root for Conor.

I think their standings in their respective divisions are pretty comparable, but I think Nate would have a better shot against Eddie than Nick would against Lawler 2.0.

Nate also seems like a much better person.

Its not just the wins.. is the way he won. Tell me who stood and trade with Daley like him. Granted Daley lost a lot of fight but no one has ever put him out like that. Back then it was a scary guy to trade punches.

Nick and Nate are just different. Both guys are the best in what they do.

But they have holes in their games and a good wrestler with good cardio and submission defense is always going to have a great chance against both.

As Andre Ward said, Nate is more a volume striker while Nick throw less but has more power.
