Dana's response.

Absolutely genius.

Play hard to get, say your not interested..Just look at Dana, saying he will work something out, meaning more $ for Nate. By Nate saying he only wants Conor, he gets one of two things.

If the UFC doesnt get Conor....way more $ to make it up to Diaz.

If the UFC gets Conor......Easy pay day for Diaz.

Absolutely genius.

His reaction to Dana saying, "we will figure it out".

This is how you negotiate people(Conor take notes)

Make No mistake about it, Nate Diaz calls the shots in the UFC 200 right now..He is the top dog.

If Conor comes back...The only reason is because Nate Diaz said so!

UFC needs Nate, not Conor.

Welcome to the Diaz Era.

Obvious fanboy. Not even trying to hide it.

Dude he the Diaz brothers always been against the UFC and their BS. He knows Conor's the face of the UFC and respects him. He's playing the damn game and making the UFC step it up. Open your eyes everyone, it's not that hard to see. Diaz wants to see the money too.

Are you kidding me LMFAO.

He is taking advantage of the situation...Conor/Zuffa, the ego maniacs fighting eachother...He knows the UFC needs him so Nate calls the shots right now.

Bro read my post, I said Nate wants money so thats why he is doing what he is doing...but he doesnt support Conor.

Nate is playing it exactly as he should, for once. He's in a strong position right now. I think he learned some things after he signed his last shitty deal.

Fucking textbook!

I hope he makes ZUFFA's asshole bleed.

Nate Diaz is the true Anti-Hero in all of this.

If you want fighters to get paid more, then support Nate Diaz...He is a far better representative of UFC fighters, not Conor. Conor was a UFC Yes-Men before this whole ordeal.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Good to see that Helwani is still relevant.

Yep. Nate is also realizing something that Conor didn't: timing is important. Conor fucked up with his little stunt because he really didn't have that much leverage. I hope Nate stands his ground and gets a fat payday out of this.

I loved that Ariel/Nate shit. Great. I missed this, thanks for posting.

Nate is rolling with this very well.

He digs slightly at Conor but also supports him. I think it might be impossible for him to play that better. I mean from a fighter perspective, not a business perspective. I don't know much about that.

I know don't see why Nate would wanna fight anyone else. This is a huge money fight for him, and it's a fucking easy. If he fights another guy and loses, that's it. He doesn't get this rematch, and he's back to making 40/40.

I have no idea how you got that out of that.

Nate will never sell a ppv on his own well.. partly cos he will never get to the top of any divison.

Nate was literally just sitting around when they called him. If that makes him a genius, you have a very low bar set. He basically lucked into this entire situation.

No, now he can set GSP's comeback against a legit WW maybe. His main event is wide open without Diaz now. He did Dana a favor. There weren't too many people to pair Diaz up for the main event of something as (supposedly) big as UFC 200. Now the UFC has much more range to set up a real main event.

Who put Nate in the position to make these great negotiation decisions? Diaz can't even answer a straight question without help. Seems like he is paying his dues to Conor. Maybe a bit of rebellion starting here.

You're right on everything but the two have had a mutual respect for each other since the start. Don't mind the bickering, and yes at this point Diaz is supporting Conor he even said something around the lines of "Let him train, let him do his thing, I know what it's like".
