Although I agree with your earlier point, still, no matter what age people will still seek advice. That's how a human being works. If you're the type to never seek or ask for advice on anything in life (I believe that's impossible) then so be it. But people ask and look for advice all the time. Shit, I asked my little nephew on what I should do a couple times in certain situations. He's 14 and I'm 26. I've had people older than me ask for advice. I wouldn't say, oh you're old enough, figure it out on your own. They ask, I answer. Simple. Once again, why is this new to you?

What baffles me personally is how come Jake Shields always ends up watching their back in incidents they start? It's blatantly obvious he's got no thug mentality. I guess he just wants to be a good buddy.

I mentioned it in another thread, but I spent a good portion of a day with him in a gym out in San Francisco in 2006, and he's an uber white dude, but he's also got a bit of thug in him. Dude raged hard in traffic, and definitely didn't give a fuck about being abrasive with strangers. Nice enough guy, no doubt, but it's not all a simple act.

Spending time with him almost felt like studying a mysterious paradox.

Side note: he's infinitely stronger on the mat than one might expect.
