Gaethje deffinitely does get tired.

He was gassed against MJ and Eddie.

The leg kicks would be a problem for Nate but if Nate stays in boxing range the entire fight like he did with Cerrone, he could win it.

If he actually used his wrestling and leg kicks I would agree but Gaethje has said he will never attempt a takedown in his MMA career.

The fact that he just wants to move forward and brawl is actually what Nate wants. I might have to pick Nate in a straight brawl. Gaethje would have to use some movement, throw a lot of kicks and mix in grappling like how RDA did but I think Gaethje is really stubborn and would try to slug it out with Nate and that just is a bad idea.

Nate's worst matchup would be Khabib because Khabib has the takedowns and sub defense.

I think Nate vs Ferg is the GOAT fight

The problem with gaethje's style which might help diaz is that he blocks punches with his face/head. Could make it more competitive. I'd have to believe khabib would have a much easier day at the office vs nate than any other current lw.

obviously wrestlers. most everyone who has beaten him did so with wrestling. the exceptions are
1. Conor - he won by limited engagement in the last 3 rounds, winning one of them
2. Thomson - who wrecked him with well roundedness and poise.

so if the question was limited to non-wrestlers (as it probably should have been), then the answer is, IMO, Poirier.

Gaethje would be fun to watch though.

He has the skill set, but he is effectively 2015 version of Diego Sanchez. I don’t understand what some of you see in him.

Don’t get it wrong, I love the style and I enjoy a good brawl, but a top level guy he is not.
