""I'm thinking probably the lightweight title fight, whatever is biggest," Diaz said. "The biggest thing with Lawler and GSP -- I would have been all about those fights and I am, but at the same time, my brother [Nick] is coming back and those are his fights. Those are Nick Diaz fights. I'm not trying to step on his shoes. We'll see how things play out. As far as rematches go, I lost close decisions and never got a rematch."

I fully understand his argument, but under the cloud of him complaining about not being promoted by the UFC, WTF?

Loyalty in these streets, son. Love it. Too bad for his current shine, but his brother's trust will do more for his life enjoyment than anything the UFC could possibly set up for him. Good stuff Nate. Fam first.

Nick should give him his blessing to fight Lawler. I'm sure he'd take the fight if his brother was okay with it.

What close decisions is he talking about? vs RDA? vs Bendo?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

the UFC isn't going to let Diaz fight for the 170 title anyway

that was just Dana talking bullshit to make Conor sound strong to casuals

Dana had to go full McMahon and make Diaz sound amazing so that Conor doesn't seem like a dude who dehydrates so he can KO manlets in a weight division that is eventually going to cause his death due to weight cutting

After Diaz sr's last fight, I'm not sure I want to see him or think he's deserving of fighting Lawler. Unless part of Lawler's contract promises that he won't take a step back and march forward the whole fight.

lawler is nothing like anderoid

Respect to Nate. But, let's not kid ourselves... They'd kill him.

I think if Robbie is still champ when Nick comes back, that fight is all but guaranteed to happen at some point.
I agree, Robbie wants a high profile fight.... and Nick is the highest profile fight Robbie could get outside of GSP

i hate the phrase "stepping on toes" even though in this case it is correct usage. but it usually means people trying to get things for no reason.

Nick Vs Maia Vs Brown winner. Plz

I'm a Nick fan but he doesn't deserve a title fight. He's coming off of two losses, and when was the last time he was "active"? He should get a top 3 fight first. I want to see him work his way up, not go MIA for a year and come back demanding a title fight.

Nate isnt stupid, he knows what it's like to fight a true 170lb fighter cutting from 190lbs.

Nick is coming off of three losses, not two.

Nick has never beat a Top 5 Ranked WW. His only win against a Top 10 WW was Daley, who was #9 and never ranked again after that fight.

He needs to beat #9 or #10, then maybe #6, before getting a Top 3.

You guys seem to forget how badly he got ragdolled at 170, he's not really a 170er. Those truly are his bros fights.
